5 pm, another day with no news in the books. Unless we get someone tomorrow, we're looking at Monday probably, if not later. And unless the new hire is an existing US resident, I don't see much likelihood that he gets a work visa in time to open camp on January 11.

Yeah. Silver lining, GvB would have been a “CFG” hire anyway. I’m interested to see who’s next on our list. (Assuming, perhaps optimistically, it's anything more than a panic hire.)

Ewww no. I think The dude struggled in Celtic when rangers was just promoted and I think before that he was struggling in terms of game style in the league with the strongest team in the league by far.

One of the posts is passing along a rumor, not something he purported as a fact, and the other is his stated opinion.
Man, stick with your statistics, even if they’re self-serving & twisted to fit your narrative, at least you can own it, but calling out the guy’s twitter as horseshit by using those two examples is just embarrassing.
This doesn’t mean anything but here’s the story of a first leg UCL game won by Celtic, coached by Deila, that Gary Mackay-Stevens entered as a sub, over Malmo, featuring Anton Tinnerholm, and a freshly bearded Jo Inge Berget scoring a late goal to pull Malmo close enough to prevail in the second leg, on top of which Berget had recently been released from Celtic by Deila after a disastrous and goal-free stint which is all too familiar.
It’s like we had a scout at this one game 4.5 years ago and decided to hire everyone involved. Fun even if the Deila rumor is BS.

Tell you what, since those examples don't prove anything, why don't you and I make a friendly wager on whether Ronny Deila will be the next manager of NYCFC? I'd offer you generous odds but those fancy numbers might sound like twisted statistics. And besides, your guy's got a source in Norway.
Nice. Twisting the issue by making him my “guy” with a bet on something I never took a stance on other than a humorous post about Pilkington turning down CFG. My stance is that you tried dunking on a guy passing along a rumor on a subject a lot of fans have an interest in, and want any sort of information, be it rumor or confirmed fact - because the club has gone radio silent for months - and you windmilled right on to the rim.
