At least soccer got a mention:

Maybe we’ll even see one of our soccer teams win a championship one of these years, and we’ll see if the greatest melting-pot city of all really goes all-in when that happens.

Not even by name. The writer shouldn't take the 15 seconds to google "soccer teams new york"?

We didn't get a mention on NY1 either on their year in review of sports...

So you're saying that Mike Vaccaro, a guy who's been covering NY sports for decades and has covered our games against the Red Bulls in the past didn't know what our team's name was, so instead he took the short way out and just mentioned the generic "one of our soccer teams"?

Why do you choose to always be aggrieved? Life's too short, man. He knows who we are, that's pretty ridiculous.

New year, same old shit from the FO
The question I submitted to Brad Sims (quoting from memory) was "The team gets little coverage from the NYC sports media, and many fans believe, fairly or not, that the club likes it that way because that same sports media is extremely aggressive in the areas it does cover. Please comment on that and describe what the team is doing to increase its media presence and public awareness of the club."

That's a really good question, especially the way it is worded.

Which is why it won't be included...

Great question but it'll never get picked because it's requires a substantive answer.

He'll get a question like: what's the biggest difference between MLS and NBA? or.... What have you learned over the last 13 months as CEO?

Read the whole thread. It wasn’t one or two questions, it was a total shutdown.

does he do this with other academy coaches ( i really dont know). especially when he says he likes to chat with those with limited press experience

True, but they can agree ahead of time on what topics they will discuss, what's off the table, etc.

i get the academy part disappointment when he said he was not allowed to talk about academy players. first team or team philosophy are not something to ask a U19 coach. thatsd david lee questions, but of course they wont entertain that

Why would the academy coach not be the one to talk to about academy-to-first team philosophy?

I think it's more that the show came off as unprofessional. Why ask the youth coach who the next first team signing is?

Oh, that must have gone over my head. My reply was to the bolded part of your previous post.
