One thing I didn't really think of. Even though these are "Season Tickets" and we are buying for the season, remember that these are actually "City Memberships"
I've noticed that Six Flags is not refunding its Season Pass holders but crediting them their missed park opening days towards next year
I believe Disney is offering current Annual Pass holders a choice of a prorated refund or a day for day extension of their pass for as long as the parks are closed.

I do not see what difference the Season Ticket vs City Membership distinction makes. I'm pretty sure the STH membership provides that we are guaranteed nothing except tickets, and any additional benefits are completely at the discretion of the club. By any reasonable accounting the ticket costs represent 99.99% of the value of the membership, and in fact, the City Membership cost happens to match the aggregated ticket prices exactly + S&H.

10% is nothing when STH retainage was in free fall before the pandemic, and during/after people are going to be very nervy about being in large groups without a vaccine.

I don’t plan to attend any matches until there’s a vaccine. If it means I pay regular founding member rates, so be it, but the club has held 2/3 of my paid tix total for the last 9 months - they don’t need the money, they’re big enough to get a revolving line of credit from a bank or phone the ownership for an infusion. That this is still going on with no resolution is a joke.

And yes, I know the 10% was from the Yankees, but as part owners, NYCFC is mulling the same.

Don't worry you won't pay regular rates. If you go, you'll buy on the secondary market for less than the Founding STH pays, just like I've been doing. And when it comes to USOC, CCL, or playoffs, I've realized it's better when friends who are a STHs buy me a ticket and I pay them back, then I have someone to sit with.

Getafe are giving STHs free season tickets for next year https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-h...eason-tickets-for-next-campaign-idUKKBN22J2LY

This is the kind of thinking we need from our FO right now. Unlike most of you, I don't think it's beyond them. But without these kind of measures, Yankee Stadium will be a ghost town on most matchdays. I think this is a truly live or die moment for the club.
I don't think we are playing at Yankee or Citifield this year. We will be playing all the games at RBA Areana when the teams come back to the home ballparks. As canchon posted in the Covid-19 http://nycfcforums.com/index.php?threads/covid-19-leagues-suspended.7212/post-307116

My question was selected for the Town Hall coming up on Monday. They're going to do something different for this session. They plan to connect the STHs who submitted the questions one at a time as panel participants so we can ask our questions live. We did a run-through today. Frankly I'm not sure how much this adds to the overall experience, but I'm glad they're trying to do what they can.

run through even with the answers as well?

No. We didn't even ask our questions. It was just a tech run through, making sure everyone was able to connect, unmute when prompted, be seen and heard, etc.

ETA: Half the participants couldn't remember the questions they submitted and the team will be emailing a reminder to all of us. :p

I love the 'ETA' LOL. That's what you'd expect. I wonder how many, during the real thing, will change their questions and force a certain response? haha

From the club’s email just now, we’ll receive an update on City Memberships next Monday, June 15.

all im hearing is that i wont get my credit to apply to next years membership package.

Season ticket holder options are out.

  • No more payments for 2020.
  • You can get a refund
  • You can apply to 2021 with differing levels of extra benefits based on how you structure 2021 payments.
  • All 2021 rollovers include no price increase.
  • 2020 home games, if any, will cost extra, but discounted by an unspecified amount, because your 2020 payments are either refunded or applied to 2021. They also will be completely optional on your part.
On the whole I think it is a good, fair set of options.

I am okay with what they put together except that the money payment members, like myself, do not get any incentives. It should have been one for monthly, two for quarterly, and three for full payment.

Also bonus City Tokens dependent on whether regular or founding, and payment plan choice.

What are City Tokens again?

Interesting. They offer more to people who choose to pay the remaining balance in full next year: they get to choose 2 bonuses, while quarterly and monthly options get just one. Also they get more City Tokens, whatever they are. I'm not saying it's enough but it is more.

But people who already paid in full for 2020 are not addressed at all. I presume they get what the 2021 pay in full people get, but yes, they should get something even more than those folks receive.
