Thanks. Some fascinating stuff, including support for factions who argued with each other a few months ago, namely those who said that he almost left us for another club is evidence of behind the scenes dysfunction, and those who said that if he seriously considered leaving us for another MLS team given his complaints he's an idiot. Turns out he did believe there was dysfunction, he had other MLS offers, and he's not that big of an idiot.

I'd love to ask about this at the upcoming town hall but I already submitted mine, and more importantly, the questions are pre-screened and this would never be chosen.

the virtual city members town hall? that happened on Monday.

It's a series. I talked about another upcoming next week in another thread. Despite the lockdown, I am capable of knowing whether the meeting to which I was invited happened 3 days ago or next week. :D

maybe i got different email, i recalled it being on monday and one in spanish next week. very well then.

don't have an english article and too lazy to look for one. but apparently flamengo is considering dome as a replacement for their coach. he's on their shortlist

they’ll be lucky to have him.

im not sold on the rumor in latam they tend to just throw names out there. earlier in the year he was also a candidate for another brazilian team ( atletico paranaense) and their press was hyping it and it ended up not being him. the difference i guess is that Flamengo has more money to spend and has more prestige, though i read that some of the brazilian teams FO's arent the greatest, so who knows.

if it is true and is selected he has huge shoes to fill, Jorge Jesus left the team as brazilian and south american champion with the libertadores cup.

Atletico Paranaense isn’t Flamengo. To put it in MLS terms, you are looking at the Galaxy (Flamengo) vs Columbus Crew (ATL paranaense).

Brazilian teams though are generally a mess from the FO downward.

yes that is why i said flamengo has more money and prestigue. still, i dont think they would go for him since i feel they want someone known within the brazilian circles. on the other hand if Dome left us because of FO issues then he is not going to accept things over there either with the history of brazilian team FO's

So this should be in the General MLS discussion. Do you think Dome will be the next Atlanta manager? If not, I'm going to move these posts to there.

Dome is already being mentioned as a possible replacement in ATL in the Athletic article about FDB being out.

Dome would kill it in Atlanta with those South American stars and a bigger checkbook. Look out.

looks like Dome to Flamengo is gaining steam...

so this was from saturday basically from what i read they were supposed to meet today but it never happened. but apparently there are negotiations happening just not in person as the article mentions.
