Once Upon a Time in Mexico... Once Upon a Time in a Orlando, for the fourth trip this season...

NYCFC are down 1-0 after the first leg. This is considered an away match for aggregate purposes.

The Club had originally charged $10 for tickets to this. Late Wednesday night they issued a refund simply saying they had decided to make it free just like the away game at San Carlos was.
Gesture of goodwill or advance notice?

Say what? What refund?

The tournament is resuming. The rest of the tournament will be played in a neutral venue in the United States. The second leg still means this is an away match for tiebreaking purposes.

A 1-0 win means straight to penalty kicks. A multi-goal NYCFC +1 win means we advance.

As we previously discussed, there's no solution to resuming that is fair all around, but this is a giant FU to Atlanta United. Play Away for real at Aztec Stadium at altitude and fall behind. Play "home" at some neutral location before empty stands. At least the other 2 teams in a similar situation get the benefit of a lead that they earned.
For NYC, this is actually a mild advantage.

interesting they put taty in the promo pic next to gignac and vela. well i guess its something.

this can be tougher, if we make the cup final we will be in "form" but if not its like 3 weeks away between competitive games.

That will be the 7th match on the field in 7 days. Nuts.

no field can take that and be in good condition. this is assuming there is no rain and other weather conditions affecting it too.

i'm willing to bet they picked orlando because it'll be warm for the rest of concacaf to deal with and because florida allows SOME fans and yes, it is a nice stadium

"Concacaf has made the decision that these centralized final rounds of the 2020 SCCL will be played behind closed doors."
