All Ivy League sports were canceled so maybe he thought it was best to continue getting an education while playing at a high level?

i assume he is giving the scholarship up as soon as he signs the contract. i dont know how much education he will get as a first team player.

correct. He wanted to play. We threw some more money at him combined with the chance he may not play competitively for the better part of 18 months now

great announcement. hope he develops into a beast for us in the attack.

now.. where is derosario....

No scholarships in the Ivy League. Not sure what the rules will be about readmitting him if he ends up deciding to go back to college. Typically those schools will afford someone a year or two off, but then you have to reapply.

He can always go to school and take a few classes. He can't play for Yale now, but he can still be a student. Probably can't be a full-time student, but he can still work towards his degree.

No scholarships but there is definitely a wink wink nudge nudge in terms of financial aid. That aid can't be taken away like a scholarship either if you stop playing the sport.

He says in his interview and on the media releases that he is going to keep going to yale over the next few years, makes sense because so much is online that the same types of accommodation can be extended beyond when in-person classes resume.
Yeah, I had seen that too late. Good for him. Won't be easy, but if James Franco can get a PhD in English at Yale while filming movies and hosting the Oscars, it's possible.
