2021 Schedule Thread

Of the 17 MLS Regular Season matches in 2021, how many will be played at Yankee Stadium?

Of 75,000 people in all the COVID trials, a grand total of zero people needed hospitalization or died from the group that got the vaccine. With a reasonable level of certainty, we can say that the vaccines completely prevent serious illness, or at least make the risk of serious illness virtually zero.
Shifting goalposts -- the original comment was that all you can get is "mild flu symptoms" and you're defending that by saying you won't die or be hospitalized.

There is a very large white space between mild flu symptoms and hospitalization/death.

sorry man. But this isn’t true.

it’s ok to be nervous still. But none of the above is based in fact except the part about kids not getting vaccines
Please provide me a single resource from which you have determined that a vaccinated person can not transmit COVID.

Harvard Medical School suggests the jury is still out in an article dated February 8:

Pregnant women are ALLOWED to get the vaccine, but they were not included in any of the approval studies. Poor word choice in my original post.
There's nothing about mRNA vaccines that suggests there would be any risks either. My wife and I are expecting, did our homework, and talked to the pros.

It boils down to the very real risk of my wife getting covid vs a hypothetical uncertainity that there is no evidence that there is something to be worried about.

That's all fair as this was an unusual, emergency situation, but what you just described (ruling out a hypothetical uncertainty of danger to a reasonable extent) is the very first step of a normal pharmaceutical approval process, which is why it's called Phase 1. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Having an anecdotal window into the decision-making process of some folks here does not make me feel safe about the prospect of going to games in April, even if permitted. But y'all do you

It is going to be years before FredMertz FredMertz feels comfortable about COVID. His right. Just think he’s falling into the COVID panic media trap

You are such a bad faith argument maker. I start off making nothing more than an argument that people should wear masks at a game in April and you strawman that into this nonsense.

So, how about that NYCFC schedule? Am I on the right thread?

We'll get phase one of the schedule at some point and then phase two of the schedule later (two weeks?), just like the vaccine. :p

How about a pre-season schedule? Likely not traveling anywhere and just playing teams locally.

I mean, your name literally is “danger.” Covid should be afraid of you.
It is also literally tattooed on my right forearm. But because of your legal background, I’m sharing the tattoo on my left instead which I think you might get a bigger kick out of. The Mignonette, from Regina v Dudley & Stephens (background about the shipwreck turned cannibal nightmare of 3 castaways):

I vaguely remember that case. Interesting interplay between the social expectations of people who actually had to deal with extreme circumstances that could make cannibalism seem a proper option, and the wider society that would be almost completely unaffected by the legal rules choosing to impose their preferences on the people taking the risks.

not trying to. Disagreeing with your concerns as the facts don’t add up for you

Has anyone watch YES in the last few weeks, I keep seeing the advertisements for the teams on the network. It lists Yankees, Nets Liberty and then NYCFC. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of games being moved to Foxsports go. I understand being kicked off because of the Yankees, Nets and Liberty games, but it going to be crazy to be kicked off for the Nets pre and post game shows when the Nets make their deep playoff run.

I don't understand being kicked off for the Liberty.

I think YES is going to try to play more of the Liberty games to promote Sabrina Ionescu as she is supposed to be one of the future stars of the WNBA. They missed the opportunity last year as she only played three games. I think MLS and WNBA average around 200K viewers on national games. So if YES has a chance to promote a potential superstar or our team, I think YES might go with the potential superstar.

This is why we need another David Villa. We're in the NY market. We need a superstar.

I don't think there's a correlation there. YES did a lot more shows around NYCFC than they did for the Liberty. The playoff preview, the season preview, etc. They gave Ian his own show, too. Last year they had an NYCFC game on TV and the Liberty were on FOX Sports Go.
