just got an email about seating.. basically what we already know. for those wondering about resale, they are not allowing it. but since the money is not being taken out of your account unless you use it and leftover money is fully refundable, it shouldn't be a big deal that resale/transfer is not permitted.

from the email:
  • Due to COVID protocols, there will be socially-distanced POD seating to start the season. This is accordance with CDC guidelines. Following standard venue protocol with socially-distanced POD seating, there is a requirement to select all seats in a POD (i.e. PODS come in 2-seat or 4-seat options). To maintain POD integrity, resale/transfer of tickets is not available outside of family members.

Informal poll:

Individual tickets made available for sale to STHs this week will be priced at:
1. The founding member price for founding members, the regular STH price for STHs
2. The regular STH price for everyone, including founding members
3. The regular single ticket price for general sales

My guess is #2 and that will make me angry.

I got an email about ticket selection for the home opener:

As I mentioned in my last email, we wanted to send a separate email with all the info you need to access your tickets for the home opener on April 24th if you would like to attend this match.

Again, we will be hosting a Member-Only Seat Selection event from April 7-8 – and this match is 100% optional.

Resources:
Step-by-step instructions and video to guide you through the process of accessing tickets – click here
Your start time to access tickets is: April 7th at 10:00 AM. Priority is assigned by tenure of when you originally purchased your City Membership.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your NYCFC Rep [removed name] if you have any questions in the meantime.

How many tickets are actually being sold for April 24th? I am not a season ticket holder but I am looking to attend. Does anyone think that tickets won’t sell out with season ticket holders and some will be available to the general public on Friday?

At the moment I believe they are only selling Season Tickets and Flex Plans. If there is still capacity available after the STHs and Flex members get their picks, then they might open single game tickets to the public. I would not be surprised if that does not happen until the legal capacity increases, but I don't think anyone really knows.

Has anyone done their ticket selection yet? I am due at 1pm today (Wednesday).

I did. It's a pretty good process. The available seats change based on how many tickets you're looking for based on pods. It's easy to apply the credits on your account to pay for everything, or pay via a credit card is wanted.

The hardest part was determining where to sit, because I don't know where are good places to sit. I had selected certain seats but it said they were already taken.

Thanks. Were you able to buy more seats than the number of season tickets you hold?

Did you see any seats in the upper decks?

Yes, able to buy more than on my account.

Just the first two tiers like normal NYCFC matches.

Did it process was smooth.

Sucks I couldn't get the seats I've always had since day 1. My selection time was 10am but was stuck in meetings and didn't log in till 1030ish

Does anyone what the earliest time selection was? (This way I'm not bummed out because I didn't log in at 10)
If it makes you feel better mines not until 220 and I’m starting to worry there won’t even be any seats left lol

My appointment was at 11 AM and it went fairly well. The app showed my outstanding credit and debited from that total without issue.

One bit of advice that may help people seeking seats for a group larger than 2 - try different pod sizes if you cannot find seats in the section you want. We are attending with a group of 4, and I wanted to find seats in our regular section (233A since 2015). However, pod size 4 only allowed selections in the rear of the section. When I switched to pod size 2, I was able to purchase tickets for 2 pods in the front of the section that are near each other.

One hopes that the powers that be will not be adamant about separating our two pods on game day considering that the two pods will have traveled to the stadium together in the same car, but we shall see.

Based on the info on the team website I think reselling may be allowed. I interpreted it as you can sell your tickets as long as you sell your entire block, upholding the pod integrity. I’d like to see if tickets pop up on the secondary market soon.

Looking at the schedule, the only games I'd be able to go see live earliest would be the two at RBA in june. :( But I really wanna go watch the team live so I might cave in...

Any word yet on what is going to constitute "fully vaccinated"? 1 J&J or 2 Pfizer/Moderna shots or 2 weeks after administration?
