2022 Season Ticket Thread

If we continue playing at RBA, which is likely if Citi field is no longer a viable option, then rolling over money with an option for refund is the best solution. Much better than tokens.

But there is no refund. Because you'll always be at 100% when the season starts and then have to pay to get back to 100% when the season ends for the next season. They are pricing the season at all games at Yankee Stadium and RBA games are deduction. Not partial season at Yankee Stadium and then additional dollars for RBA games. There's only a refund if you're over 100% which would be only if you don't attend any games and go to a lower priced season ticket or cancel.

I believe they communicated that you can get a refund for unused credits at the end of this season. Didn't they do that after everyone complained?

based on my understanding, and based on the graphic on the link i provided in my earlier post, that's not how they are doing it.

You're calculations are based on the assumption that you only pay the remaining balance to bring your account to 100% for 2022. But there is no way to know how much that will be while this season is happening and while there are covid restrictions in place. Therefore, the club is still charging you the full rate for your season ticket in 2022, whatever that may be.

In your earlier example, at the end of 2021, you would have $14 in your account because 2022 will cost the same as 2021. Therefore, at the end of 2021, you would be eligible for a $4 refund or keep it in your account to rollover again into 2023 when those payments begin.

True. Maybe I'm confusing dollars vs. tokens. vs. credits.

As someone who pays in full, I'm being charged 50% of the full year 2022 season ticket price in June and then the remaining balance to get to actual 100% in January.

Right.

So, taking your example again, you have $4 left at the end of 2021 plus the 50% of 2022 you will pay june 15, which gives you $9. In december, at the settle up date you owe $1 to be back at 100% for 2022. If you had $6 or more in your account at the end of 2021, then you'd be eligible for a $1 or more refund.

Hope that makes sense!

I totally forgot about the 50% payment thing from the email. What I described earlier assumed we'd pay 100% for 2022, but as the email states, we only pay 50% on june 15th and then "settle up" in december.

Received communication that tomorrow I can pick up my $100 merchandise gift card at Billy's from 1130-130pm. Assuming it'll be similar for other rewards as well.
Seconded, I just got the same thing. Two emails, one for the merchandise card and one for the food & beverage card.

A couple of things: This is the actual club, not the third rail or some affiliated group. Why TF can't they have the pickup in the stadium? I don't park anywhere near Billy's, I almost never sit on that side of the stadium and I am coming to the games with someone who can't drink. I know this sounds whiny, but walking all the way to Billy's to pick this up is an unnecessary PITA.

Also, as far as the credits and next year: I would he happier if they just put ALL of my current credit towards next year and let me purchase this years tickets with cash. Much simpler and avoids all of the above discussion entirely.

exactly. I attended the game with my daughter today and went to Billy’s to do the pickup and it was literally a bar with blaring music, a line to get in, and a bouncer carding people. Im not dealing with that crap to pick up my benefits and they should put it somewhere where it’s not 21+ to get in. I figure I’ll deal with it later.

they have set up a small table inside the concourse before to give out things. not sure why they couldn't do that this time. Pretty ridiculous to have to go to a bar to pick up. perhaps they are trying to drum up support for the bar, but this is not a way to do it.

Seat relocation is starting soon.

And one datapoint is that Pitchside is being reduced from 202 to 132 seats year over year.
Here is another datapoint. Preview shows seats available at the same pricing tier as a season ticket holder's current plan or higher -- someone in the general admission/supporters section should be able to see all the seats.

Screen grabs of sections behind the plate and up the third base line. Not good.

How many of those sections will be tarped off next season? With the poor sightlines from behind home plate, the lack of interest there makes sense. But I was surprised by the vast green in sections like 223 and 229 -- both one section removed from price breaks.

Can't say I blame anyone for dropping season tickets at this point. What's really the benefit?
