USMNT Talk

I missed the game. what happened?
He was physical and generally marking Honduran forwards very closely even when the ball was nowhere near and it clearly frustrated them. This shows it pretty well.

Apart from that he had a mixed game. Generally solid Wall of Brooks defense, and helped set up the goal, but a handful of Chanot level gaffes mixed in.

Btw Clint Dempsey is among my all-time favorite athletes (I was a Revs fan once, and he was dope) but from what little I saw, I'm not sure he is media material. Perhaps an off-beat type of podcast or Men in Blazers style show would be up his alley.

US looks so unorganized and just out of their league.

So much talent - just not being utilized correctly. and the biggest thing for me is lack of GRIT. American teams have always had fight and grit to make up for the talent disparity. Now we've made up some of that talent gap, but we seem to have lost a lot of that grit that made watching the USMNT actually fun.

Was funny how Maurice Edu was gushing about the players on El Tri's roster giving Tat the ability to easily switch between 3 and 4 ATB.

James Sands provides that 100%.

James sands would have blocked that shot. Llanez is a beast and is going to be a huge player for El Tri going forward. Kid got game.

mckennie having a huge offensive game tonight too. he's been on every air ball in the box.

Why is Tim Ream in the national team mix? He's never looked even decent for the NT? Is he dope at club level?

** I started typing this before the goal

** damn quick response 2-2

totally agree. never thought he was impressive. and also think john brooks is overrated. guy makes so many mistakes

I thought Herrera's challenge for the ball was fair. *edit: talking about the challenge on the loose ball with Horvath. The studs up challenge was a clear second yellow.

What I want to know is what happened to the guy who jumped over the fence behind the studio?
