Supporter sanctions?

They keep saying didn't listen to his side of the story, like 20+ times ive seen it, but i can't seem to find his side of the story anywhere.....
I asked, and he posted that response from the supporters section. Claims that the police interviewed him, then let him go, then security ejected him.

I didn't even see anything happen at the game. There was basically no security around as someone said there had been an incident with someone falling down before the match, but I was close to the drummers and saw nothing.

all I was able to figure out is that:
1. NYCFC issued a 12-month ban
2. snippet of Templado's president response explaining what happened after the "incident"

what was the actual incident?

I think some of our supporters jumped or beat the crap out of one of the Chicago supporters in one of the bathrooms over on the away side of the stadium, but I honestly have no idea. That's all I've heard, but who the hell knows anymore.

Sad to be banned without a hearing, but why even go near the Away Supporter Section if you sit in the SG area? Even if not guilty and without ill intent, that can lead to trouble.

Is it so hard to go to Yankee Stadium, watch the game, cheer for our players, drink a few beers, get a chicken bucket, and then hop on the train after the game? Fighting takes too much energy considering how draining our games have been emotionally and physically.

There seems to be a lot of hearsay going on. I'd also be interested to hear the whole situation. What was the incident and were other people who were actually involved banned/ejected? Was Juan the only person?

Can anyone on here from Los Templados shed some light and share some details?

If this did happen, that's the type of stuff that keeps me cautiously away from joining any SGs. I want to be with like minded fans who are passionate about the team and celebrate everything we do. I don't want to walk around beating up other fans. That doesn't do anything at all to help or support the team.

i'll tell you one thing, juans friend who got juan banned is an asshole for not manning up and taking the heat.
the only defence we've heard is "juan was at the wrong place at the wrong time"

So you're saying they got the wrong person, but something did indeed happen? Where are you getting this info from?

its all over the facebook group. nobody knows the severity of the situation. nobody involved has given a proper defense. all they said is the police got involved, interrogated him and let him go without punishment, but was thrown out of yankee stadium

Thanks. Seems like it isn't as clear cut as an innocent fan got unjustly banned for a year.

What people don't realize is security doesn't want to have to throw people out of the stadium. In most cases they will look to relocate the persons seats before ejecting them I've seen this first hand at the stadium. But if a patron of the stadium regardless of fan association was legitimately assaulted I do believe an ejection and ban is well within the teams right to assign to the guilty party.

nope, I heard it was a conspiracy to frame Los Templados devised by that new supporters group, Goat's Town Blues United. I hear Goats is going to be targeting supporters group one by one so they can be the only supporters group in town.

We are missing the most obvious suspect. City Beats is sick of the percussion competition, they are taking Templados down one by one!

At some point this needs to stop being the case. It seems supporters (insert group name here) keep getting themselves in trouble either at home games or away games, and every damn time its "Well you don't know the whole side of the story", "The cops/securitas are being ridiculous", "Opposing fans started it".

Enough. I don't know how often crap like this happens at other clubs, but it seems nonstop for ours. We as supporters need to have fun within our bounds and rules of the stadiums/venues we visit.

I love to get drunk and yell (what I think is) clever and witty banter. But never, ever will violence or personal attacks be part of it.

And I do get that sometimes there is something to hearing the other side of the story, or security overstepping their bounds, but it seems like that is always the case for our supporters and it needs to stop being an excuse.

And sometimes security/cops get the wrong guy. Others need to step up and take responsibility for their own actions.

End rant.
