D.C. (Away) - Postmatch

Optimistic adam adam FTW

If we keep playing like this we’ll be challenging for first place in a couple weeks. And you’ll all be dusting off your pineapples! It sure was pretty to watch. Not sure how we transitioned so quickly from months of boring as fuck. But it seems we have Tony Rocha to thank off all people. Who the hell could have predicted our season would hinge on a half of crap by Tony Rocha?

Some random thoughts.

No weak links today. Ofori had his best game so far, especially in the first half. Sands is a giant of a player already, and will become only better. What a pity it probably means he'll be off in November. The 352 worked well, because both Tinnerholm and Matarrita had a very good game. Maxi was really good, and he so much deserved a goal. How unlucky can you get, hitting the post twice in a game? Heber looks the biz, he's exactly what has been needed. Ring gave the rhythm to the midfield, and thus to the whole team. Johnson had to make one major save, and he did it in style. Mitri was his usual selfish self, and that brought a goal.
Lewis could have been better, if the referee hadn't been Allen Chapman. Even Medina was livelier that normally.

That was a good result, and what made it even better was that it was also a very good performance versus an expectedly strong opposition.

Did I already mention that Allen Chapman should be stripped off his referee license? Durkin should have been sent off, no question about that. Nearly ten yellow cards in a pretty friendly game?

I thought the same re Ofori, he was great both ways.

I also agree that Tinney had his best game in ages. Sands control and the 3 in the back allowed him to play like a true relentless wing back which serves him well.

I am not sure if it was by design or happenstance, but we took more shots from outside the 18 than I can remember. I'm not sure if we were looking to test Hamid or if we just needed to start getting the ball at goal.

Things seemed to click today. We look solid throughout. Hopefully Dome found a formula that works for us.

thought Lewis did well today we saw the explosiveness and the runs his touches were pretty good. With more time he will get out of the bad run of games he has had but today for everyone was the start of something good including Lewis. Had a good move on the line to force Hamid into a save

I also do believe Mitrita struggled today and the team plays better without him. Although he had a goal he wasn’t his usual self and the team flows better without him. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I personally thought that was the softest yellow I had ever seen for Lewis.

Mitri's whole foot buckled when he kicked into the defender that one play, I was surprised to see him keep playing personally.

“I expect in three or four days we will find the right striker because everybody knows we need something in our forwards."

"We need a striker, everybody knows – but we need to sign the right player. That is the reason why we are in the moment trying to find the right player to join us.”

Hola Domè. Porque esparamos que la temporada empiece antes de firmar un delantero? Porque no temprano para que pueda entrenarse con el equipo en la pretemporada?
