Wish the articles wouldn’t bring up his brother every time. It’s got to be hard for the family to read the write ups and get excited for Gio and then have everything drain out when reminded of Jack - just let it be.

Well, we still retain his academy rights and he could still sign a homegrown deal.

I doubt more than one of those players are getting a scholarship, at least the first year. Isn't it crazy soccer is only allowed about 9.5 scholarships per program, while Lacrosse (with only 10 men on the field at once) has 12.5? Most of the freshman are probably promised on future dividends, although I'm sure some creative accounting is done on the side of academic scholarships as well.

Could this signal intent for an NYCFC 2 team? Or do you think he just wants to get under the City umbrella?
So for the people less familiar with academy structures, what is this guys role? It appears as though Crooks' headline was wrong on job title, as his title is director of coaching and will report to an academy director.
