UEFA Champions League 18/19

Liverpool are favorites but Spurs did outplay them in the second half last they met and Liverpool only won because of a Lloris error. Both matches in the EPL ended 2-1 so I don't think there's any reason to expect Liverpool to steamroll them the way some seem to. Honestly the defensive naivety Ajax showed at times in the second half would have had me worried Liverpool would have torn them to shreds, I honestly think this is the better match up.

I stayed away the last 6 hours and just watched the replay. Hooooooolllllllllllyyyyy shiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!! Whaaaatttt did I just watch????????

Got home drunk. Turned it on. Thought we were goners. Holy fucking hell!!!!!!!!

I love this sport!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will be the summer we see Barça complete their transformation into Manchester United. Throwing dumb money at big names who solve none of their problems.
So you’re saying Barca is secretly infatuated with the deft skill of Ed Woodward.... if only Barca would poach him from ManU.....

Interesting take he might not fill a glaring need but I think Griezmann is an elite player light years better than Pogba or anyone United had brought in lately and they already have De Jong coming in from Ajax who is also very very good.

Yeah, I was being harsh.

Yes, De Jong is a very good signing, and de Ligt will be, too. It's true that they need Suarez's successor locked down, hence Griezmann. But to me the immediate, pressing needs are in defensive midfield. They need to replace Busquets, Rakitic and Vidal. It'll be interesting to see exactly what role De Jong plays, since Messi has been shouldering the entire attack all season. Presumably De Jong will be more 8-like and Messi will remain more 10-like so he can stay forward.

Evidently Coutinho has to go for some reason, though he'd work fine in midfield if Busquets could still move and cover for him.

Isn't De Jong pretty happy in that CDM position?

I don't have any allegiance to any of these teams but I think Liverpool should and will win this. Also I think it would be funny if Spurs lost.

For pure memeage I'd like Spurs to go 3-0 up at half time and then for Liverpool to drop 5 on them during the 2nd half.

This game hasn't been anything like that...at all...
