My source in City government reached out to me saying the deal has not been approved because De Blasio and the city has yet to commit to it. De Blasio is too busy running for President to make a phone call or delegate someone to make it official.
My source said that all the “leaks” saying a deal is done are false. Someone or group has planted those stories and my source and their department are trying to figure out who it is.
Essentially, we are back to 7 years ago... The team, elevator company, local businesses and local officials all want the deal but the De Blasio and the City holding it up and potentially killing the deal.

That reeks of BS. So they’re claiming there is 100% no deal and that the ‘leak’ is false. So they’re looking to identify people that claim false information for what reason?
That makes no sense at all. I don’t see the club wasting resources to identify trolls that post fake leaks.

I'm not going to share anything specific, just wanted to let the people who follow stadium news that there are very real reasons to be optimistic here.
Talk about beating around the bush... Are you just saying you're optimistic based on reported rumors in recent weeks or do you actually have something you can't share?
I heard some good things about our stadium today.
It's tough because it's something where you can't put the specifics in a public forum, but you also want fellow fans to know that good things are happening. I wasn't sure if I should have shared that there was positive news or not because you can only say so much and people will always want more info.
