I was checking to see when we played this weekend and totally forgot about the break. 20+ days without an MLS match. Good thing we advanced in the Open cup and have something to watch this coming Wednesday.
So do Aussies and Kiwis generally hold a fond sporting affinity and root for each other as long as you're not in direct competition, or is it more "screw those bastards."So much other soccer tho
I dunno, I'm not typical. I never really supported the men's national team unless the Leeds players were playing (Viduka and Kewell until he stabbed us in the back). For some reason I find the Matildas much more relatable.
I have nothing against New Zealand sporting teams. I really like New Zealand as well. It's always felt like the Canada to Australia's United States in the sense that they seem to have done a better job of integrating with their native populations, seem to be well educated and forward thinking.

Amazing as that's nearly 80% of our total points.
If someone were to put money on Maxi being the one to get the first suspension due to yellow card accumulation, people think that individual would be crazy. How has picked up so many yellows?
What's really nuts is he went the first 7 matches w/o picking up a card. Also, Chapman has given him 2.
I'd also like to see contact to Maxi's head and face called as it is with other, taller players.
Yeah, it kinda sucks for opposing players to have to work around it when their arms may more naturally be around Maxi's head than other, average height players, but is sure as hell ain't fair to Maxi or other players his height to not have those protections that other players are provided.
