Has Hudson yards been brought up as a possibility? A lot of NYCFC brass were at an event there tonight.

I was on the Highline two weeks ago staring at those tracks, visualizing a superimposed picture of Red Bull Arena on that spot. As glorious as a stadium would be there, they would make more money developing something else.

LionNYC LionNYC could have a sky suite on top of the Vessel looking down on the pitch.

ETA: i personally would go to many concerts/events there. It would be pretty bad ass to have an open air stadium in Manhattan.

Unrelated to stadium but related to your ETA, Pier 17 is a pretty damn awesome open air concert venue if you find any shows you like playing there. Saw Kings of Leon there last summer shortly after it opened and it was pretty damn awesome.

Pier 17 is awesome! I saw Passion Pit there a few weeks ago. Wanted to see The Lonely Island this past Friday but tickets weren't worth the price.

Wow. The things you don't know. I see a few shows I'd like to see there, so I'm definitely going to check something out there.

That certainly is not the case.

Hold up.... you have to pay to go onto that stupid thing? My god... what a world.
I think it’s free but they limit attendance so it’s not overcrowded. Much like 9/11 memorial

You have to reserve tickets with a max of two weeks in advance. The tickets are free, but they go out quite quickly so you ahve to reserve in advance for, frankly, a waste of time :p

-edit-
HOWEVER, you can stand outside and look up without reserving. lol

Do you mean when the 9/11 Memorial first opened?

Because I don’t see at all how they could limit attendance now but I do remember several years ago when you had to get a ticket and go through security.
