Nycfc Training Fields Thread

awesome! any buildings going up at all or is it just the field?

Unfortunately, it's all just fields. Now that it looks like all of the drainage pipes and leveling the turf has been completed, I honestly don't see where a building would go on that plot of land, despite what I was told previously.

You guys are allowed to watch the team train?
Lets see now-

1) no where close to a full roster yet
2) roster not together yet, camp starts in 2-3 weeks
3) training facility not completely built

So, no, no one is allowed to watch the team train.

But I bet when they are ready and in town training, fans will be able to attend some if not all sessions. I only say some because maybe having Villa forces NYCFC to add security and privileged access to training sessions.

I asked because it's highly unusual over here to be allowed to see the team train.

Its been a couple of weeks Kjbert, were you planning of trying to take a look again, see if there were any changes?

When is the team supposed to be there? Before March?

This is a state university. the Knicks used to train here and the sports center is top notch.
when I put up the the 1st photos of the field in early October the guy told me that they were just doing the field. the field is less than a 1/4 mile from the athletic buildings.

I stopped by yesterday with the intention if taking more pictures. The only thing that's changed is that they have put down gravel between the parking lot and the training field and the green tarps have been pulled down from the fence. So anyone can see the field without some creative maneuvering. I will go again in two weeks like I have been but there isn't a lot to report unfortunately.

So I was surfing the web and I was reading about a group called FC Westchester who seem to be some USA affiliate of Everton. They seem to be training at SUNY in Purchase, NY. Are they using the same fields that NYCFC just built or am I completely off?

Here is a map of their training fields (look familiar?):

I'm going to say no because NYcfc built their own fields. Also in the pictures it was a long road surrounded by woods that led to the field. That looks to be off a main road.

That map is totally off. Our field is where the baseball field on the left is and extends out farther towards C& B fields.
It really looks like thisfield.jpg

You could be completely right, but if this team was practicing at SUNY and that map is just old, its still very possible they are using the new NYC fields.

BxLio91 BxLio91 This is more or less correct. The Everton squad could not be playing there now because the field is under two feet of snow as of last Sunday. I will head over again this weekend to see if anything has changed.

To be honest, I don't see how they are going to be able to practice there anytime soon. They would really need to clear the field of snow over the next 10 days and I don't see enough of a heat wave to melt that much snow. It's a disaster.

Now - there is a astro turf football field separated by a baseball field. The football field does have goals on it right now. It's entirely clean and dry. I would imagine that's where the Everton squad (formerly Chelsea until last year) is practicing.

I am concerned about our training pitches.
