Better stalk model.ls and upper90. I think the 2 clubs that are going to compete with us in terms of sales are TFC and Seattle.

just ordered my long sleeve DAVID VILLA from the shop. hope I have no issues , they say its going to ship out the 25th.

I can't believe they sold out so fast! Happy to get my order in quick but damn they were expensive!

already sold out in a few hours? how many jerseys did they have in stock? like 50?

I went with the short sleeve authentic jersey. I'll have it on under whatever other layers I might be wearing at the home opener.

Did the home jersey sell out when they released? Cant remember. I wonder how the club will react to that fact that they'll sell more aways than home.

Goddamn, M,L and XL sold out in a few hours. Lesson not learned from home jersey? Think I'm going with authentic XL Velasquez when they decide to restock. Or I'll just go to upper 90.

The home shirts sold out as well but not this quickly.

I just shake my head at the thought of selling out a pre-order. Do they really think that if they ordered too many they wouldn't be able to sell them during games at the stadium? It's insane. And I know some will call me crazy, but this is indicative of how the entire organization has been run.

Just clear simple examples of bad judgement.

I'm a fan of criticizing the FO, but they might be employing artificial scarcity as a strategy. The home jersey sold out in a couple of days, this one even sooner. Everyone goes around saying "oooh, such demand" theoretically getting new folks on the bandwagon, and also causing people to make impulse buys in the future just in case the items disappear again.

That is actually normal, Adidas or who ever the outfitter for other leagues are this they make a Fitch batch and put those up for preorder. So it is VERY possible what the first batch the “pre-order” batch get sold out and its better that it does and to make it clear what the fans want for next year. Remember fans speak with the only language team know $$$$.

This is fine and makes business sense, but what I don't get is why it takes them so long to get more in stock. They announced this jersey in Novemeber and know from the home sales how many folks are interested, so they should have a second run ready to go. The Home jersey is still sold out on their site which seems ridiculous to me.

my guess would be the design was finalized in November.

Ok. So now I understand the process a little more, but they still could have handled it better.

Here's an example. If you know your original pre-order shipment will be small then offer those to your STH's. One of the arguments on Twitter with NYCFC FanHelp was that the number of "Founding Member" exclusives was really small. This was a great example of a way to treat your original invested fans as priority. The only thing they did was give us a 2 hour heads up so we could get our credit cards out.

Anyone else receive an email tonight saying their preordered away jersey has shipped? It even has a UPS tracking number that seems to be updating. Very strange but I'm not complaining!

Edit: Upon further examination it appears that only part of my order shipped. Can't wait to get that NYCFC pint glass though. :D
