Metro North Train

Yes -- Yankee Stadium is a regular stop on the Hudson Line -- most Hudson line train stops there.

You can't just get on ANY northbound train -- it needs to be a Northbound Hudson Line train.

If you go to the Metro North's website, you can search for a schedule from your station to Yankee Stadium/153rd St. That will show you the transfer at Harlem and the timing of the train to the game.

I would write more, but my 20-month-old has some Kaka in his diaper, so I need to change it.

If I use the metro north trip planner, it tells me to go to grand central and hop on the 4

Just sent another note, which I copied below. Hopefully, they will reconsider. My only other viable option from Westchester is to park, and that is going to be problematic if we end up with no Metro North service.

Hi,

I would like to encourage you to set up train service for the New York City Football Club's home games at Yankee Stadium. At minimum, I think you should provide service for this Sunday's game. Over 30,000 tickets have already been sold, and they have opened up the full stadium for ticket sales. This is going to be the equivalent of a Yankee home game, and it will need equivalent public transportation.

Sincerely,

Anyone else coming from Poughkeepsie? Wondering what best route is. If it doesn't stop directly at Yankee Stadium what are the other options? Thanks guys

JUST IN: No direct trains on New Haven Line
Those on New Haven Line will have to transfer at Harlem 125th
Expanded service at Harlem 125th

Yep. They just told me the same thing. I don't see the expanded service from GC/Harlem to Yankee Stadium yet, however.

I think it's going to be drive and park for me.

so no direct service from new haven or hudson line....dammit. This schedule doesn't support us heavy pre-gamers either, I gotta go online and find my own times.

No, this is a mistake. The link in Gator's post shows that there is direct service on the Hudson line, but not on the Harlem or New Haven lines.

lol dammit, I deleted and updated it to be wrong from being wrong. whoops. yeah no direct for new haven or harlem. hudson goes past the stadium by default.

Slightly confused I thought the Hudson line did go there?

I am probably going from New Haven Jacob. It might cost less parking wise from Milford but I'm closer to New Haven . If a few people are planning on going from New Haven it might be cool to coordinate though it somewhat depends how early people intend to get down.

The Hudson line does go there. Unfortunately the times from Poughkeepsie are either early or cutting it too close (assuming nothing runs on time). Considering Im traveling with a child I will take the one to be there by 330. That way we can get food and not rush around. Can't risk missing any of the game.

Looks like there are 12;25 , 12;46, 1nd 1;25 New Haven departures that I'd consider. Earlier than that would likely leave a little too much time to kill. I might grab A drink but I'm not the type to grab a few hours worth of them. Anything later than that I'd fear might be cutting it close. The trains from Harlem to the Stadium seem fairly regular with anything from a few minutes to half an hour wait at most depending on which combination. Can I buy the Hudson line Harlem to Yankee Stadium tickets online or at the New Haven train station? Or do I need to plan time in Harlem to do so? Thanks for any info.
