    Anyone doing MLS Fantasy?

Yeah, thanks. Disappointed I ended up out of the top 10 by a single point after being conformably in it for what seemed like most of the season, but that's what happens when there aren't autosubs to bail you out sometimes. I tried my absolute best but I just couldn't stay on top of every lineup...

    Anyone doing MLS Fantasy?

I ended up winning the NYCFC supporters league. My highest ranking was 3rd for a few weeks, was even ahead of the guy who ended up winning the game outright.

    Andrew Jacobson 5th Player

He makes 200k in salary. So it was a salary dump for FCD, who also happen to have the first spot in the allocation order. LA just traded Opare and a 2nd rounder to DC for their allocation spot (2nd) as well. Something is brewing.

    Andrew Jacobson 5th Player

Decent defensive midfielder, will get a tackle in, can keep things ticking over. His height could be a factor from set pieces. Another shrewd move.

    Xavi Hernandez To Nycfc?

@Midas Mulligan, Have to take umbrage with some things you've written. Granted, you've made some valid points, but I think you're being exceedingly harsh in your appraisal of BWP. What really got to me was that he wasn't in the top 20 strikers in MLS. Hyperbole at its finest...at least I hope...

Nycfc Trade 2nd Rd Pick For Jeb Brovsky

Important to note it's a 2nd round pick in the 2016 superdraft. I've had MLS Live for the past 3 years and from what I've seen of Brovsky, he always seemed like a decent fullback, especially going forward. Not sure why he fell out of favor in Montreal. But happy to have made this signing, he'll...

    MLS Fantasy

I'm ranked first at the moment for NYCFC supporters, hoping I can make that spot my own for a while at least. ;)

    Foreign Dp's For Nycfc

Posted a comprehensive article about this very issue if you're interested. Took me quite a while to complete. Check my twitter or simply click here if interested: http://bit.ly/1huXDuL I'd post it directly here as well, but I don't think the character limit would be very fond of that. I don't...

    What did you buy?

Ordered on launch and they haven't shipped yet. Getting impatient, can't wait to wear the long sleeve!

    Stadium Discussion

Agree that it's far from ideal but in all likelihood it's what we will have to endure for 3 years unless there is some unforeseen development. That said, it will make the feeling of finally having a beautiful SSS to call home that much sweeter, won't it?

    Anyone doing MLS Fantasy?

I'm playing too and doing okay. Currently ranked 600-700 overall. Played last season as well and did very well until I took an extended vacation to Poland and abandoned my team. Ended up finishing 4k or so.

    Representing Queens NY!

Based on his name I'm going to guess Ridgewood. My cousins live there - along with half of Poland these days, it seems. :)

    Enter Here!

Witam rodaka ;) For those who have no idea what I just wrote, which is probably everyone else, Jerzy is a Polish first name, so I just said hello to a fellow Pole. The above didn't constitute me entering the contest. Nothing against it, I'd just rather let someone else win it.

What will you be purchasing ticket plan wise?

Season tickets can run you below $400, from what I've seen. Even if playing at Yankee Stadium loses some of that intimate feeling you'd get at a SSS where you're practically on top of the pitch, I think it's worth it. Plan to get season tickets with a friend.

    Commercialization Versus Pragmatism: A Discussion

Thanks for all the replies, I shall be replying to some points as soon as I get a moment to do so.

    Commercialization Versus Pragmatism: A Discussion

Part III: MLS is a completely different beast to any other league in the world and its unique characteristics defy comparison. Players from abroad often underestimate the physical nature of the league and, frankly speaking, the level of commitment needed to be successful here. You can't just...

    Commercialization Versus Pragmatism: A Discussion

Part II: This carries with it an intrinsic danger. Focusing on signing players with reputation or who are well known and thus likely to garner media attention and put "asses in the seats", while an understandable strategy from a business standpoint, could have an ultimately detrimental impact...

    Commercialization Versus Pragmatism: A Discussion

I know the following will probably get TL;DR'd but: From the moment the club was announced as the lovechild of the gigantic brands New York Yankees and Manchester City, I've been especially curious about the conflict between commercialism (or commercialization) and pragmatism that will manifest...

    NYC Tomek Checking In!

Thanks for the welcome. It's probably something you'll be interested in so I'll mention that I found this forum when it was retweeted by the supporters group account on twitter. As far as the website is concerned, I plan to start it with a friend of mine, Chris, who I suspect will also join...

    What did you buy?

I'd be happy to ship you whatever you wanted free of charge if you're still looking to buy that way. So far I've ordered the long sleeve shirt and scarf, although I'm sure that list will grow in short order. ;)
