Exactly - the loan spell is already a dubious move (there’s very little guarantee that Rangers will play meaningful minutes of European football over the next 18 months). But if he doesn’t even get on the field, it’s a total waste of time.

I don’t think there’s much to be learned from him playing against a team from the Scottish fourth tier. They’re barely USL level. Call me if he plays against Dortmund this week.

Sounds like he was playing hardball rather than being wishy-washy. Can’t be much fun for the players, but I’d rather we have someone who knows when it’s time to be difficult with our highest paid players, than someone who rolls over for fan favorites.
