2015 General Mls Transfer Rumors

NJRB really got a good signing there. We need to sort of sign these south americans (take more risks). This is an example of good risk, he won the argentina league and copa libertadores recently.
(next round of DP for NYCFC should be avg around the age of 25 ...either from Europe (big teams) or winners from Copa Libertadores or Copa Sudamericana)

If NJRB win MLS Cup it might be because of the Pope :p

Too bad Chicago couldn't close the deal.
According to most sources, Chicago never even made an offer let alone tried to close it.

I did read that they had offers for Mahoney and Shipp but didn't take them.

That's too bad. A team in a major market like Chicago apparently operating like a minor league team is shameful.

It's really a shame. As someone who lived in Chicago for 3 years and went to a bunch of their games I can report that its a horrible situation. The owner is super cheap, they go cheap on DPs that never work out. They built the stadium way outside of down town in an area with little to no public transportation. The stadium is half empty for most games. It's sad because they have a good supporters section and some very passionate fans. I'm pretty sure the owner was happy they lost out on JJ to NE so he could claim they tried to get him without actually having to pay for him.

If I had any sort of power over the league, which I don't, I'd force the owners out of Chicago. It's the only way the situation is going to improve for the better. And then after that I'd completely rebrand the team. Chicago Fire is kinda lame in my opinion.

It doesn't really matter. US$10M equals just under £6.5M in the UK and West Ham United is reportedly ready to bid £15M for him.
If they bid that much for him I hope he takes it so we can put these darn rumors to bed once and for all! I'm tired of being alerted about Disney City's supposed bids and failed attempts to get him to sign with them. And Chicago's bids which nobody ever took seriously
