2016 Mls Jersey Thread

I'd have to google myself. But I read somewhere that the classic crest was also used by the us military since around WWI or WWII (and there are many photos showing it) and can't be copywriten in that form. So if they were to put it on all the jerseys it would show up on hats and shirts everywhere without ussoccer earning a dime.

EDIT: Did a little googling and it's because it's been around since before 1923. Micro changes would help, but nothing to stop bootlegger from just using the original and no one really caring it's slightly different.

I know a lot of people didn't love it, but I wish they continued the red and white horizontal stripes as the primary kit for the US, and just use that. Other major teams use plain white (England- white/red, Germany- white/black), and I know others like paraguay had red & white stripes, albeit vertically. The stripes represented the flag, which the USNT could've taken and ran with. Instead, we have a kit that changes designs every year or two based off of Nike's new cleats or boredom.

Such on obviously option to use as an iconic jersey. Wasted. That should be primary, and the secondary can change every year or every two years.

Not sure why black has become part of the USA mens and womens identity.

I like the new crest though.

Must have been a tactical decision. When you're playing soccer in the hot sun in the summer time black is the logical choice.

Both Colorado's unis are understated and classy. I like them, and Timmy will look great wearing their keeper jersey.
