2017 General MLS Transfer Rumors

Scandinavia bound for Bill it seems?

Frankly, I rate Johnson about equal. And I see more upside to Horvath or Gonzales. I'd go ahead and start playing those two of I were the head US man.

Rotate all of them. I want to play the youth too, but I also want them to have to earn the spot. Not just be handed it because they're young with upside.

Johnson and Hamid are still young enough that I think you give them a shot. We don't play a meaningful game for 20 months, however, so we should be managing to having the best guy on the field on that day.

I disagree. Bono from TFC has.
I don't get all the Bono hype. Sure TFC hasn't allowed a lot of goals, but is that Bono? Or the team in front of him?

I haven't watched all TFC games, but the ones I have, Bono hasn't necessarily stood out to me as spectacular. Checking the stats on MLSsoccer.com, he faced the 17th most shots in MLS and started in 29/34 of TFC's matches. Bingham and Lampson faced less and they played in 23 and 24 respectively.

He was 7th in Save Percentage from those keepers that started 20 or more games. (Melia, Hamid, Blake, Johnson, Deric, Frei (which I also don't get the hype of Frei outside of his save in last year's cup final)).

I know I've laid out some stats above, and I know stats definitely don't tell the whole story for keepers. But as I mentioned above as well, he hasn't wowed me in the eye test either. Yeah, he's decent, but best MLS keeper? No way.
