Can't you just walk to the game? I know it's more than 100 amot, but as long as you're within the city limits and the Aruv you're good to go. Having them scan your season ticket card means no money changing hands either. I don't see the issue. You can even daven mincha maariv and make havdalah with a 2 flares crossed together at half time.

Using the same dates, but using a group stage format:

Group Stage
Matchday 1: 10/25, 10/26 (8 games)
Matchday 2: 10/29, 10/30, 10/31 (8 games)
Matchday 3: 11/5 (8 games)

Knockout Stage
Quarterfinals: 11/21 (4 games)
Semifinals: 11/28, 11/29, 11/30 (2 games)
Finals: 12/9 (1 game)

16 qualifiers, 31 games. Natural break in the middle.

Currently we have 12 qualifiers, 17 games, and an awkward break in the middle.

The league should look at moving the start of the regular season back at least one week, maybe two. The end of the year is such a cluster with teams playing 3 games in as few as 8 days - the most important games of the year.

Just have the cold weather teams on the road for up to the first four weeks.

Except when one team in a cold weather city needs to squeeze as many early season matches in as possible so they don't conflict with the baseball team they share their stadium with.

If we are a top 2 seed, we will play our semifinal game on November 5th. On November 4th Maryland is playing Rutgers (College Football) at Yankee Stadium. So overnight, Yankee Stadium would have to remove the field goal posts, redo all the lines, and make it into a MLS pitch.

Our playoff game may be moved.
