Please reserve for general offseason discussion.

December 10th - So the next thing for the club is to see if we make CCL. That (I'm assuming) will give us some more $$$ to play around with. Based on previous seasons any info on how much and in what form? We will know if we are in or not no later than 12/10.

December 13th - Next would be the draft? I'm assuming team would target a guy like Mikey. Low cost and high energy. Similar to how we played it by picking up non cap hit players.

Date??? Where in this would cuts come in? Certain that the club waits until after expansion draft to begin making moves. But we'll at least know who is staying based on the protected list.

Things to Look Forward To:
- Dec 12: Expansion Draft Protected List Announced
- Dec 13: Expansion Draft
- Jan: Schedule Announced
- Jan 13: SuperDraft
- Jan 23: Preseason Begins (Arizona definitely, possibly Manchester, maybe China)
- Feb: New Primary Kit

When does the schedule usually get released?

Wouldn't mind an away trip to Atlanta. Great place to see a game (Georgia Tech Football Stadium). Not sure how it plays for soccer, but you are on top of the field.

Ok, i'm ready now. Just clicked into all the 2017 threads for the first time and "marked forums read" to bring the counter down to zero.

2016 forgotten. Excited for 2017 acquisitions and departures...Let's go NYCFC
Gotta say that while 2016 didn't end the way we'd hoped there was a month or two when we were in first place and playing great and that definitely felt pretty good. And we made it to the end of the season in second place and into the playoffs in our second year. So not quite going to forget this past season, but totally agree with you on the "excited for 2017" part.

Allow me to rephrase. The 2016 season is, behind me. ;)

I'd like to see Patrick Vieira spend a few weeks in Manchester by himself or with his training staff shadowing and learning from Pep. #Cynergy
While I agree with the idea in theory, the problem is there's really no comparison between the players in Manchester and most of the players here. I mean, City's back line together gets paid almost half a million a week. Their salaries for a month or two are more than our yearly salary cap.

It's almost a little depressing, actually, when you consider the team we could put together if we were allowed. But hey, MLS. I mean, Man City plays out of the back and looks stylish nowadays. We play out of the back and can't get the ball past Toronto's midfield.

Oops, sorry. My regularly scheduled NYCFC optimism will be restored shortly.
