2017 STH Pricing and Renewal Info

I would expect the same number of games with fewer triples against teams in our conference.
I think that's likely. Everybody now plays 10 against the other conference, leaving 24 in-conference. That is split rather symmetrically: Against 3 teams you play 2H 1A (9 total), against 3 teams you play 1H 2A (9 total), and against 3 teams you play 1H 1 A (6 total).
I think the new format will be that against 6 teams you play 1H 1A (12 total), against 2 teams you play 2H 1A (6 total) and against 2 you play 1H 2A (6 total). That's still 24 in-conference games and maintains a bit of symmetry.

That's good news. Otherwise you'll have to update your pricing spreadsheet to not only factor in the processing fee but the additional home games if it were to change...;)

It's not really news - it's me speculating with a bit of math. Nothing has been confirmed, although I think my speculation could likely be correct.

ETA: Except I completely neglected to account for one thing. See immediately following posts.

If we keep 24 in conference games and a 34 game schedule, that means we skip one of the other conference teams each year. I don't think that's gonna happen. My guess is that symmetry isn't that important. We'll have 11 non-conference games and 23 to play in conference - 3 triples and 7 home and homes.

I totally didn't account for that.

Or adding one more game for 35 total wouldn't be too difficult. Especially in a summer without Copa America and Euros going on.

Edit: The more I think about this, the more I think they would want to keep the amount of home games the same for each team. So I think FootyLovin FootyLovin is probably correct instead of expanding to 35 games (whereas expanding to 36 is probably actually more likely than going to 35).

The team is doing a poll on their City Voice website:

What gift would you like to receive as part of your city membership pack?

A laptop/tablet sleeve
A beanie hat
A scarf

Well, does the sleeve fit in the backpack? What about the messenger bag? Hmm...

A reason for some of these benefits is because Atlanta United will be starting their season playing at home games at Georgia Tech's stadium rather than Mercedes Benz Stadium. So they need to keep the fans happy.
