I disagree. Keeper seems like the highest floor position in these drafts every year. Late in the first we got a potential starter or top backup.
Something like 10 guys picked in the first round last year didn’t even make the rosters.
For me the hilarious one is the guy that RBNJ picked, he came up to the mic and made this big speech about beating everybody who disrespected him and now he’s cut from the team. Doh.
he was sent to USL and i think he was not even a full starter there. wonder if he was that bad...or an attitude problem
These crap MLS writers gave us the worst grade of teams that picked today. Did they even consider our roster and current depth? Idiots...

Don't know if General Managers and Sporting Directors just didn't want to get on the phone but LAFC made a selection at 1. RSL passed at 5, Montreal passed at 14, and NYCFC passed at 19.
But we don't know what we did with the 6th pick. Guess Vieira, Reyna & Co. are interested in anyone.

Dear MLS -- When you have team's passing in your draft, your draft is too long.
The NBA draft used to be 10 rounds (yes -- almost as many rounds as there are players on the team), then went to 7, then 2. Because they are smart.

If it's not televised or anything, does it matter? If MLS continues to move toward a MLB setup, then we may see more rounds and more college players drafted with the intent of filling out USL rosters and maybe finding that occasional gem.
That's a good point, but because it disproves my original comment, I will have to ignore it.
Arthur Bosua went undrafted. He went from a 1st rounder in mock drafts, to undrafted. Claudio Reyna said that a lot of talented players would go undrafted or fall deeper because of their international status in the limited amount of international roster spots in MLS.
