Big news if it's true.
He'll get lots of minutes, and this is the type of high profile mid-tier team that could get him signed to a bigger team within a year or two.

Remember that declined options does not mean those teams won't be bringing them back. Those players could be back to those teams under new deals.

Pretty shocking to see the red bulls let go of Robles. Bwp I can understand.. but who do they really have to replace Robles who is a fairly decent keeper and seems to bleed NJ.

Any team picking up a healthy bwp in MLS would be lucky to have him. Hated when he scored on us but respect where respect is due.

Chicago declined the options on Katai and Gaitan.

Those are two players I would at least kick the tires on. Especially Gaitan -- he was on a TAM deal ($1.4M per MLSPA, though, so I don't know how that was working) and put up good numbers this year.

Katai was a DP but can be bought down ($1.2M), and while he wasn't as good this year as last year, he's still pretty useful. Heber, Katai, Tati/ITS is a pretty good attacking trio.

miami is starting to look like a pretty strong contender right out of the gate. especially if they sign a big star to anchor the team. they've got a combination of youth and experience.
