That's a straw man. Adam is excited about QBFC, as are a few others like me, but he clearly is still a huge fan of NYCFC.

I'm not gonna question anyone's loyalty to the team, but he was openly advocating that fans jump ship. Turns out he backed the wrong horse (it happens), but that's the only reason I would joke about people leaving.

You question people’s loyalty all the time - it’s literally the exact thing you do with every holier than thou voice of reason post you throw on the boards.

Let’s just skip over that whole optimistic adam thing, being the only one on these forums who said we could turn the season around starting with a win @ DCU, still rocking the pineapples. Yeah, I totally abandoned this team when they were down and now am jumping back on the bandwagon. You caught me red-handed.

Heber looks happy, hopefully that means recovery is going well and Dome is pulling some Bellichekian disinformation campaign.

well, he is on the bike and not doing treadmill. looks like the guys with knocks and injuries are in the gym today while the rest are scrimmaging with the academy team.

Can anybody TLDR this?

basic interview. questions about life now, life after soccer, retirement, MLS, the team. translated quotes on the twitter thread

(tldr)
on life now - it's great. like to stay at home and host the guys for a bbq once a week. go out when there are visitors.
life after soccer - will prob. settle in italy
retirement - would like to retire in argentina.
MLS - previously rejected MLS cause thought it was a retirement league. but now think it's a great league with young talent and jump in quality each year.
team - very happy with season so far and want to continue fighting for goal of the cup.

Only ring made it onto this list.
...This shows you how important a 'big name' is in NYC.
It's important to have a big name in NYC so we can have someone make the best selling jersey list?

That's not very high on my priorities for the club and I hope the Front Office isn't prioritizing jersey sales when looking to sign someone.

i think what he meant was, if we had a big name there'd be more attention on the club. not only would we sell more jerseys, but more people would be interested in going to games, JUST to see the player whose jersey they bought play. as discussed before, it's not a perfect solution to declining attendance, but it would drive up some excitement over the club if we signed a big name. imagine if we announced messi was coming ... YS would be sold out every game. extreme example, but you get the point.

I took it to mean that selling jerseys is a proxy for fan interest, and we do better on both with big names.

Also, Ring? I guess people like the Captain. I would expect the goal scorers to do better, but Taty, Heber and Mitrita were all late bloomers this year to differing degrees. Event then, I would have expected maxi to sell more than Ring.
