2019 Season Ticket Thread

How could you say such a thing?

But yes, I've been heavily reducing my scarf purchasing from like 25 a year to less than 5.
When you’re an old fart like me, you’ll wake up one day and realize that you don’t own all your crap, your crap owns you.

My names on the founders scarf so I share the laughter.
I wonder how many of the first 3K are still ticket holders?
I always get the feeling that somehow we won't really get the shot.

I’d love to see that documentary in 10 years time.

Because you're a season ticket holder, but am I competing with the club/ticketmaster or just other sellers on Stubhub for the non-STH market?
I believe it's just competition with fellow people in the Supporters Section, the club doesn't sell them directly unless you're a season ticket holder.
Based on my experience last year, you won't get $35 for more than a game or two. Seriously, start high and go low has not worked for me in the past. Starting low and selling quickly has, for me, been the best strategy, especially with GA tickets. You will literally never sell a single ticket if you're not the low price in a GA section so if you don't start low the market inevitably gets away from you when people panic and lower prices. Just my experience, which seems to frequently be different than other people.

I think for most of the top tier games you will be better off selling them back to the club for the Tier 1 price.
A lot of the time people will sell their supporters section tickets to fellow supporters section people for 20-25 a ticket. Your prices may get a few bites for the bigger games, but as FredMertz FredMertz said I think you're on the higher end of the spectrum and will get undersold by supporters not looking to make a profit. You'll probably end up getting someone on vacation or someone who has never sat in the SS, but even that is iffy. I think you'll be better off starting at $28-$30 for an average price, only bumping up for RBNJ and Saturday afternoon games. No way a weekday match is getting sold for more than $20.

Just my opinion from what I've seen the past few seasons.

Thanks, that's good advice. I think what I'll do is let the market dictate. I'll leave them as is (since I'm the only ones listed right now!) and then drop them to the 2-3rd lowest price about a week before the match so they sell. See how each game goes.

NYCFC's first ever season ticketholder just became the first MLB player to be elected into the Hall of Fame unanimously. Even more amazing, until a few years ago, many didn't think any reliever deserved induction.

But he's still never been seen at a NYC game.

He probably dropped his tickets like the rest of us.

BTW anyone ever see his name on the inaugural scarf?

Hoyt Wilhelm was elected 34 years ago and Rollie Fingers 27.

I'm just sticking to downgrading to the cheapest option before SG so I keep my founding member status.

I NEED DAT BRICK. Lol

I got a freaking $75 ticket for a clear cover in the Larchmont railroad parking lot after not getting one for 6 months. Must have been a slow day for the cop...
You didn’t learn your lesson 6 months ago?

I just sold my first set of tickets to the DCU opener for $35 each. I wonder if I under priced them... In any case it's a good start to the season. I hope I can keep it up.

I now have the purchasing power to go to the match in section 202 row 2. But I bet I get better deals as the match gets closer.
