2019 Season Ticket Thread

An update to my ticket sharing question which has become something of an odyssey:
  1. This morning I accessed my account via the NYCFC app. I navigated to the ticket in question and tap the icon to add it to Apple Wallet. The little grey spiral spun and spun for 2 minutes to no effect.
  2. I completely closed the app attempting to reset. Start over. Same thing happened.
  3. I open the Yankee Stadium app. I navigated to the ticket in question and tap the icon to add it to Apple Wallet. The little grey spiral spun for about 3 seconds to no effect. It didn't hang but would not add the ticket to my Wallet.
  4. I open my STH account on Safari on my phone. Finally this successfully transfers the ticket to Apple Wallet.
  5. In Apple Wallet I flip the ticket card over to access the Sharing function and it's not there. Other cards have it, so this is not something Apple took away. Either NYCFC or Ticketmaster disabled it.
it hasnt worked for me all season. Works for everything else other than my NYCFC tickets

The revised trade-in program is working very well for me this year. With the club's odd schedule and my children getting older with more claims on their time, I have already identified 4 games this season it makes sense to trade in. So I just did that and took the credits and upgraded the game on my birthday to Pitchside B, for just over $100 out of pocket for 2 tickets (I also traded in my tickets for that game as part of the transaction). Without the flexibility of the revised program I would have gotten much less value for the tickets on the days I traded in.
Obviously your cost for trading up will vary depending on your regular ticket cost (I'm in Delta), but everyone who has to trade in a few games should be able to upgrade to something better for a reasonable OOP cost for a nice treat, or have one game where you host a party of 6 instead of your usual 2 (or whatever).

One tip: while checking the terms I noted that all tokens expire at the end of the year. Nothing rolls over even if you renew. It even says that if you have tokens left 7 days before the last home game they will use them to issue you extra tickets (assuming you have enough) for the last game even if you don't ask for them. Otherwise they are just lost.

I randomly got an email today about the Legends Suite Pass option. It is available as an add-on at a cost of $160 per ticket per game. It's not clear, but I think you can do it on a single game basis if you wanted to do so without having to commit for every game. I remember this was referenced in the renewal emails STHs were sent last August.

I expect it will cost about 3.5 times what I think it is worth.

Close enough.

They must like me more as my email was for $143/seat for the legends pass.

Possibly 3.5x more than it’s worth for me, but about 20x more for my 4yo daughter.

That's really odd. If I cared enough I would complain.
It doesn’t make sense unless they’re pegging it to the price of tix - yours are more expensive than mine, so maybe they figure they can entice lower rung STH to jump at a lower cost and the Delta STH to expect a higher cost?

What’s offensive to me is the exorbitant cost, even for an all you can eat buffet station setup. Sure the crab legs are great, but for $143/person without drinks, I expect a 5-star meal, and Legends ain’t that.

Do you sit in the same section? Could be based on what you are currently paying per seat. The more you are currently paying the less the add-on?
Nah, it’s not even the opposite. Mark’s Delta is more than my 2nd tier which is less than SS.

"I still don't get these kinds of emails from the club despite calling in multiple times, one of these days it's going to matter and I'll regret not making it a bigger issue, but until then I'll rely on the forums" here.
The club rep you talk to probably is exasperated after every call you make because they look in the system and it’s clear as day an email is going out every time to Christopher G.

The bump they offered me was $143. Seems a little pricey to basically not be able to watch the game while eating underwhelming food.
Have you been? Price is ridiculous, but food was not underwhelming for me.

I can pay less to upgrade them to an entire legends ticket than the $143 they want from me to just add food access.

I hadn't even done the math, or looked up the price differential, but you prompted me. This is insane. As a founding member my average price for Legends seats would be $180 for Legends A and $160 for Legends B. I'm paying an average price of $75 for Delta. Offering me Legends dining access for $160 on top of my Delta ticket price is ludicrous on its face.
