2019 Season Ticket Thread

You miss the point completely, but that’s a fantastic hot take.

It’s 100% disingenuous to say something is being offered out of appreciation for continued support of being a founding member, only to then not have enough to go around for the limited emails sent out, especially when there are plenty of non-sold seats.

exactly, just give me tickets anywhere. and especially don't sent me the email after all the seats had been given away, that's really bad. emails should have stopped when it sold out and then gone to the top of a list to try it again another match.

I wrote back that I was not happy they sent me an email after the tickets were already gone. But if they really want to show their appreciation, they can refund me the 15% StubHub fees they are forcing on me this year.

Yeah, I got the email about 11pm last night, then didn't actually see it til a few minutes ago. Checked and it says they are all gone. That's less than a 12 hour window to act, most of which I was asleep for !

I'm gonna riot in the streets.

Got my email at 10:37 last night, decided to check like now and got a prompt nothing available.... so i just toyed around selecting available seats, which were for sale at a real price, got all the way before the confirm payment screen and decided to go back and it had a new option. So i selected the free seats that they had available (much less selection btw) and removed the non-free seats and the transaction went through. So maybe all the seats are not really gone and its not a disingenuous offer. Its just shit infrastructure again. Maybe give it another go.

I was going to decline in an email, but I thought about it and was like hmmm this likely isn't my rep doing me a solid and more a team based PR move. I am going to take it and see if i can sell. If not give them away to a coworker. And if they are upset I sold, well, than don't give me anymore "free" stuff. As I don't consider it free but rather a cost of keeping me holding on to my founding member status. (yes i am a jerk, no i dont want to be your friend nycfc).

Lol, I wonder what this is all about:

There are still seats available. Are you logging in before trying to select seats?

It seems like the vast majority of events the team does are smaller than demand. They make things into private events when they should be open to more fans -- and that gets frustrating. So I understand your annoyance at them basically doing the same thing again.

My rep got back to me. Said there were still 300 tickets left. Asked for a screenshot which I provided. But then I tried from my phone and it worked. So I don't know.

She also said that someone is working on the Stubhub rebates from last year.

I got the email this morning. It's nice they are offering the tickets. But I don't have a use for them as they're in the 200s. So it would be like I'm inviting people to the game and would never see them until the end of the match.

i just got mine now. the trick is to login to your account before selecting the seats and going to checkout. if you dont login first it put them in your cart at full price.

Check your emails regarding Stubhub credits. Would type up a longer post about it, but I need to get out of the office before traffic gets too crazy.

I got mine. And they said anything over 5%, I wonder if that applies this year when it's 15%?

I didn't get -- what's the gist of it?
As a City Member in 2018, I wanted to thank you for utilizing our partner Stubhub for the resell process. As previously mentioned, NYCFC would give City Members a credit of any seller fees paid in excess of 5% on the sale of their NYCFC tickets on StubHub (email used on your StubHub account must match the email on your NYCFC ticket account).

Your seller credit amount is $1.65.

This amount has been loaded onto your account and applied to your 2019 City Membership balance. If you did not have a balance on your City Membership account or if the seller credit exceeded the balance due, the remaining value has been applied to your account and can be used for tickets for future regular season matches, playoff matches, or other ticket packages we offer.

I obviously didn't sell many last year. I was reimbursed $1.65, lol

Haven't gotten one yet, but I assume they are slowly working through the accounts since it appears whatever automated system they thought they had didn't come to fruition.

oh! did it say that? i could have sworn the "perk" read that they'd give a flat 5% rebate. If that's the case then i rescind my complaint about stubhub charging 15%, cause the way that reads I'm only getting charged 5% regardless. If anything I want stubhub to keep increasing the fee. Hopefully it spurs the team to use TM again.
