2019 Season Ticket Thread

So 2 updates about this...

1. I ordered the quarter zip.

2. The Club emailed everyone earlier in the week that ordered saying all the items were actually free as a thank you to season ticket holders. When I picked it up after the game last night, it turned out actually grey and not navy blue. Okay. It's quite a thin piece of material. Oh. I wouldn't have paid $65 for the item if I knew what I was getting.

So it was a test??? Are you enough of a fan to pay $50 for leftover swag? If so, we'll then give it to you for free if you agree to pay for it. Come on.

kinda nice the club realized they were out of their minds and gave appreciation gifts. well done.

I got some great deals at the team store last night. 50% off is a fantastic way to not only make some money and get rid of older merch, but also to get people wearing/using club merch and spread awareness of the club. Last year it was simply a mark down of merch, not a flat 50% off, plus 30% off concessions. I hope they continue the 50% off merch promo. Sure that might mean people wait longer to buy stuff, but people will still buy stuff. that's the key.

Wait, they gave it to you for free, but only to people who initially ordered it?

It was a fanatics branded product and it wasn't available on the website but I can look deeper to see if were ever sold before.

Those who had originally ordered items received an e-mail offering the items for free. A nice gesture, but as LionNYC noted, the quarter zip was a different color - and if it is an XL, I am curious as to the gnome they have sizing items.

I'm wondering if the give away happened because they got the merch and it was crap. So they realized we can't charge people for this -- at least not what they meant to charge -- and just gave it away.

Fanatics brand items tend to be HORRENDOUSLY manufactured, so I wouldn't be surprised if the quality was way below what they anticipated.
My mom got a shirt with a club logo on the front of it from Fanatics, one of their basic level items. She followed the directions exactly from the tag inside the shirt, and the logo ended up disintegrating in the wash. She didn't even wear it once and the thing was destroyed.

Sad! I'd have taken it back and asked for a refund. I picked up a mitchel and ness sweatshirt last night. when feeling the lettering and badge, I wondered if this would last after a few washes or if it would chip away until it was barely visible. Hopefully, it lasts.

I believe she ended up getting one, or they shipped her a new shirt. Haven't followed up with her as to how it all unfolded. Last we talked about it she was just getting in contact with them.

I went to buy three toddler size T-shirts and they were coming up 15% off, not 50% off. They were all Adidas and both girls at the register said well some are and some are not. I told them I didn’t want them and then found an official looking guy with a shirt and tie and he adjusted the price to where it should have been.

While they were talking, I overheard them say that some other items were coming up 5% off instead of 50% off.

that's interesting. the signage clearly said 50% off all adidas and Mitchell & ness products. there are some exclusions that were in the email but not on the in store signage. can't recall at the moment what those were.. but i think it was playoff stuff, the new primary jersey, and first responder scarves..?

mistakes happen in the system. glad they adjusted for you. all of my things ( i got 6 items) were 50% off as they should have been.

If the playoffs (not including the MLS Cup) are being played at another location how do you think the team is going to allocate the tickets to the season ticket holders. I assume those STH will get a window to buy tickets before everyone else, but will they limit the number of tickets and location. I know they didn’t for the last citi field/Hartford but playoffs are a different beast. I can see where people might purchase better seats just for the playoffs.

I'm sure they'll put out the information some time next week if we clinch this weekend. Otherwise it'll probably be out the day after Decision Day if it takes us until the final weekend.

FWIW, my ticket rep is bolting for Austin FC. Hard to blame her -- she's moving to one of the most vibrant cities for young people in the country where the low salaries of the sports industry will go so much further. Every indication that our club is not a great place to work...

I don't think your last sentence is fair at all. People leave companies all the time for a number of different reasons. To assume a particular person leaving is a sign the team is a bad place to work is a giant stretch.

Also considering they are essentially transferring within MLS indicates he/she was happy with the job, but just wanted to move out of the City.
