I don't think your last sentence is fair at all. People leave companies all the time for a number of different reasons. To assume a particular person leaving is a sign the team is a bad place to work is a giant stretch.

It's the latest in a striking rate of turnover in the entire organization. The sales, marketing and sponsorship departments seem to turn over completely every 18 months. It's a 6-year old club that has already had 4 chief executives (Pernetti, Glick, Patricof, Sims).

I’m on either my third or fourth tix rep, and it’s not because they’re promoted within the club. All said sayonara and exited stage right.

Sales reps move all the time when a new team is created. Easier to make commission on filling a new stadium than a stale team.
 
Or that person has family in Austin, got a pay raise/promotion with Austin, or any of the other reasons people leave jobs.

The turnover is staggering. It's right in front of us. You can come up with an infinite number of hypotheticals that ignore that evidence, but I can't understand why you would.

It's OK to be fan or customer of a business that is a shitty place to work.

The turnover seems normal for the position. It is not a job that lends itself to long term commitments - people leave for other opportunities (new teams) or are promoted within an organization.

I cannot cite to a study, but I have had season tickets for other teams, and each year there is a new representative.

Exactly. Being a ticket rep is an entry-level job, and people in entry-level jobs in any profession don't stick around in that job for long. Either they get promoted or they leave.

It all seems normal until you realize that the turnover level is similar at all other levels. 4 Chief Executive in 6 years, each bringing in their own lieutenants every 18 moths?

OK, I'll grant you that. But look at the middle-management level. There has been much less movement in those areas. So we're talking entry-level and CEO-level. But for the most part, not much change in other professional areas of the organization.

I don't believe you're right. I know for sure that Patricof brought in an entire squad that all left when he did. I look at the leaders in each area and don't see familiar names.

But honestly, how many kids are making that trek from the city anyway - as opposed to kids in Westchester and Connecticut, where school is open.
I believe all/most of the schools in Westchester are closed for students on Election Day, but open for staff as professional development days.
