Interesting. So by that reasoning, the wildcard in the back pocket is actually the best strategy to actually use the discount correctly. Now how much are those new Broncos going for?
who knows, the car buying experience is horrible. Its like a Turkish bizarre. MSRP says price should be X, but the dealer says let me go behind this curtain for a bit mix some potions and see if i can do any better for you...... which I suppose is a test if the customer next say "huh? potions? whats that got to do with anything?" or "oh, interesting, can i see the potion when your done?". The latter being a stooge which they can take advantage of and the former being a shrewd negotiator. So the dealer goes behind his curtain and turn on the smoke machine and plays his betamax recording of alchemy noises then returns and tell both the same thing.... oh i can knock off 500 dollars. And both customers agree then gleefully go home and tell their friends and families how smart they are for paying less then msrp. Some days he comes out of the curtain and says 500, other days 1000. No particular reason other then being a showman and having predetermined what you are willing to pay and what he can get away with.

if you show your coupon early maybe he knows you want to use not matter what today and doesn't budge much on price.

Yea. If you don’t get at least 10% off MSRP you are a fool. I think I got 20% off on my last car. Got a Lexus with an MSRP of 56k for 45k. Always toward the end of the month when they are trying to hit quota. And call around to all dealers int he area. Play then against each other.

I'm going to have to add & 2022 to the title of this thread with the amount of people asking for refunds or credits.

"While we acknowledge that this is certainly not ideal, our ultimate goal is to win games and compete for Championships – there’s nothing we or our fans want more. Red Bull Arena proved to be a good alternate venue for us in 2020 and we are confident that it will be again in 2021."

No, it's not "good". Not at all.

agreed. not "Good" at all. Good for the team and players sure. Not good for supporters.

Based on the post about the schedule on the website, it seems we are not going to get any blanket credit/refund policy. It is going to be month to month as health policies change. At some point this summer, they are going to tell us to use our trade ins toward tickets for 2021 instead of allowing us to push that money into 2022. Calling it right now.

Most relevant part of the schedule announcement for this thread as compared to the schedule thread:

Per the state’s health and safety guidelines, NYCFC will be starting the season at Yankee Stadium with limited capacity and the need of fans to show negative COVID-19 test results within 72 hours before kickoff – or provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination.

NYCFC will be in close contact with City Members about Memberships. City Members who wish to attend the home opener will have the first opportunity for tickets via an exclusive Member Seat Selection on April 5. City Members will receive an email next week for an email outlining this process – including detailed videos and instructions on how to select seats. At this time, only NYCFC’s first home match will be made available. Future games will be made available on a monthly basis due to potential changes to health and government guidelines.

Im gonna skip the home opener cause I want to go to the Knicks game that day... Why on earth didn’t they just make it a later start? Wankers.

its gonna be wild when you have two teams one stadium and barely anyone goes to cheer for either of them.
if we end up in NJ i for sure would choose redbulls over NYCFC.... nothing about this club has been good. Only thing its got going for it is its in NYC and thats all I wanted 10 years ago when i first thought queens was going to get a club (i still wear my 'Bring MLS to Queen' tshirt that i got at a community meeting). But honestly I wouldnt choose either. Id give up on MLS and probably see what Villa is up to and or maybe pick up a new club if i ever move. My wife still has her house in vegas. Would probably buy season tickets if they had a club right now. I mean id sell them all but lol, I do that now with NYCFC. God I hate this ownership group so much. Im such a masochist for holding on.

Yeah, if you're a founding member, just do the pay in full if you can. It's actually a good incentive they came up with - I'm surprised they kinda came through.

I'd paid in full already for 2020, so just rolled it over to next season. Plus:
- >$300 in "tokens" for upgrades, etc.
- $100 merchandise credit
- $100 food & beverage credit (my rep confirmed again it can be used for alcohol)
- Day at CFA

Has anyone heard any more about when/how we get these benefits?

It's for TV, I think. Yankees play at 6, so NYCFC wanted to stay on YES instead of getting booted to the app.

Makes complete sense, just irritating, esp since there’ll only be like 8 other games I’ll go to this year (I’ll be damned if I go to NJ). But oh well.
