Through the my account manager portal? Or somewhere else?

through the account manager located here: https://am.ticketmaster.com/nycfc/

which is the same thing you get when you tap the "TRADE-IN" option in the NYCFC app menu.

Once logged in:

1) select "MY EVENTS" at the top left or from the SECOND menu in the app.
2) select the game you want by clicking on the "SELECT EVENT" button
3) Select the "MORE" menu option above the listed seats.
4) Select "RETURN" and you will be able to select which seats you want to return.

The trade-in option seems to be active in all currently listed YS games.

Thanks a lot. This worked.

Still can't buy extra tickets for the 7/30 game though. Still keep getting an error message every time after I select the section and number of tickets. Followed up with my rep on it.

Did anyone who opted out get a confirmation email? Or does the form just go into a black hole?

black hole. the only way to know is if the pumas game no longer appears in your "MY EVENTS" in the account manager.

ALSO:

New Email from the club:
For all remaining 2021 regular season matches at Yankee Stadium, you will be eligible to trade-in/exchange your tickets for up to any two home games. Trade-in credit can be used toward additional tickets or upgrades at future matches, including Playoffs. As an added benefit, any unused trade-in credit can be rolled over and applied towards your 2022 Membership balance.

Limiting to TWO games seems harsh considering the circumstances of the world right now.

Also members only town hall.

  1. In-person prior to Sunday’s home match
  2. Virtual for City Members who cannot be with us on Sunday.
Virtual City Member Town Hall
When
: Friday, 7/23 from 4-5pm ET
Where: Microsoft Teams

Live City Member Town Hall
When
: Sunday, 7/25 at 5:00pm (pre-match in the Bronx before we kickoff against Orlando SC)
Where: In-person at Billy’s Sports Bar (856 River Ave, Bronx, NY 10451)

RSVP required.

Thanks M moogoo and Fantazma Fantazma

I meant the season ticket opt out, but the answer is probably the same. I already declined the Pumas tickets, they're not in my events, and I'm pleasantly suprised to see that my ticket bank increased accordingly. #lowexpectations

season ticket opt-out was last month. i did not opt-out so i don't know if there was any kind of email confirmation. However, as long as you don't have a 2022 invoice in your account manager, then you should be good to go.

So I recently traded in tickets to two games I won't be able to attend, thanks to the help from M moogoo.

I hadn't however, been able to buy extra tickets for the 7/30 game that I wanted, so I followed up with my rep on that. She just responded saying: "I believe when you are adding on seats, you have to return the seats you currently have and then go in and grab the number of seats that you are looking for in row together within what is available."

Ok, kinda makes sense. Even though I'm in 237, which is General Admission, probably a system thing.

However, per the very recent Matt Goodman email, there is a limit of 2 games that members can trade in. Since I've already reached that limit, I can't go through the workaround suggested above since the system will no longer let me trade in my current ticket.

I bet if you e-mail your rep, she can help make that trade for you.

Yeah, I replied to her as such. I think this is something that should be figured out fairly simply. It's just been a frustrating process just trying to add these extra tickets.

So, funny thing, perhaps infuriating to the STH crowd, but my vouchers for this season all cost the same amount and are good for any home game regardless of its STH plan assigned value. So unlike all of you I'm actually thinking of going to the Pumas game because it's economically all the same to me and I figure it will be a unique atmosphere I have not experienced at any NYCFC games.

that'll be fun to see. much like the CCL tigres game at RBA, it's interesting to be outnumbered and outcheered by the visiting team's supporters.

YS should allow more NYCFC fans to attend, so maybe that'll be better than RBA, but it might also mean a lot more Pumas fans attend too. I won't be going, but the crowd will probably be an interesting mix!!

Is it me or was the system MUCH easier to navigate in the past?

I traded in the Friday match. And last night I traded in one ticket forSunday all because the system couldn’t find me an extra ticket to take my daughter.

So to recap...because they wouldn’t allow me to buy MORE tickets, I traded in a $95 ticket that gets rolled into a credit for 2022.

SO. FUCKING. DUMB.

Also - way to just make rules up on the fly Matt Goodman. What a POS

I am really unhappy about the 2 game limit. Covid restrictions and being in the middle of the pandemic is not our fault. Not only did they heavily adjust the pricing to make the YS games much more expensive than the ones at RBA, they are only letting us trade in a maximum of 2 games. Otherwise, we will have to take it upon ourselves to resell them at this much higher price point.

Not only will that make it very difficult, if not impossible to resell as single match tickets without taking a loss, but the club is getting their money either way. Remind me again how we were rewarded with the low cost RBA games? Also can't wait for the club to inevitably start selling some cheap tickets via some kind of promo deal.

Club gets their money. Supporters continue to get shafted. If you want loyalty, this is when a club needs to take the hit. Especially one as wealthy as CFG. Lack of transparency and modifying policies to benefit themselves while screwing supporters is not the way to earn loyalty.

No-brainer for me to trade back the ridiculous NYRB game tickets and take my chances on the open market. At some point the market should be flooded with secondary market sellers or reduced-price tickets straight from the club.
