We're getting there, to kick off the 2020 ST campaign, I've been offered to return and they will honor my founding member discount despite canceling last year!
Not going to lie, thinking about picking up a seat. The trade in program makes attending 3-5 games a year more viable as I can trade into a pair higher quality seats for the games I go to.

Wow. So we can cancel and still be founding members? I wonder how many FMs are left?

BTW, time to change your signature to: New York City FC "Founding Member" 2020! :tearsofjoy:

I'm wondering if they let me have my seniority back. I doubt it, but wouldn't be shocked.

Ha. I totally forgot I have a signature. I haven't seen this site on a desktop in years so I don't see them.

At this point they might as well make everyone signed up prior to next week's stadium announcement ;) a founding member. Kind of unfair for someone who has been consistently renewing since year two to pay more than someone who took a year or more off.

I've thought about cancelling the last two years. I don't want to lose my place though. So I'm holding on. Plus I kinda like my seats. If you guys want a stadium, it will happen the week after I decide to cancel!

well, am I selfish to say that i'm a bit annoyed by this. Even if there are "100 founding members" left, i dont think its cool to add more. Founding membership and their/my "brick" just lost any significance.
For me I don't care about the brick. But if a lapsed "founding member" kept their place in the ticket buying line ahead of me, then I'd be pissed. Of course, I'll likely never know. So I guess they can do whatever they want.

I really wonder if people who are "re-founding" members will get their place in line for priority for the new stadium where they originally were before cancelling or if they will move to the end of the list?

It should be the latter.

Renewal information should be coming out sometime in the middle of August.

For me I don't care about the brick.
I'm *only* here for the brick!

Renewal email from Brad Sims coming tomorrow

TO BE CLEAR, this is not the email from Sims. Just what I thought it would say before it came out.

Dear City Members,

...as we continue the mission of winning MLS Cup in 2019...new signings Mitira and Heber have sparked a beautiful style of play on the field...your passion is immeasurable towards the club's success...we understand frustrations as continue to secure a soccer specific stadium within the five boroughs but know when done it will have been worth the wait...we look forward to having you back with us in 2020 for our sixth season and the 25th season of Major League Soccer.

It's currently "Access Denied" rather than "Search". So that will be the website when it goes live.

100% this. Probably something about how the club has people working on it daily and we've never been closer than today... blah blah blah bullshit.

Uh, weren't fans supposed to have a direct ticket representative since 2015? I mean, among people leaving the front office there would be some turnover about this, but still everyone should have a direct contact.

Yea we were. But hopefully you got a better rep than I did. I got the clown who can't do paperwork correctly and blatantly lied to me about not being at the stadium, when I specifically saw his stupid mug greeting fans and handing out freebies.

SIMS is an idiot. He's done absolutely nothing since joining the club as CEO. Literally have not heard a peep from him about anything. The only way I'm not gonna be annoyed is if tomorrow's email from him also includes a stadium announcement. But if they were gonna do that, they'd make it public right away instead of giving members an exclusive peek. Hell, i'd be happy even if they sent along renderings of the stadium design possibilities or just an update on stadium negotiations.

They accidentally launched the site. The prices are not live but the other "benefits" are.
