2020 General MLS Transfer Rumors

Miami looking into adding Alexis Sanchez with last DP spot

Atlanta looking at Carlos Bacca for Martinez role

Alexis Sanchez if healthy could be a good MLS expansion team DP. When he doesn't get service he typically will try to go get the ball and then dribble through people. Often not an ideal trait in the higher level leagues but on an MLS expansion team that might struggle to provide service that type of approach is often an asset. The guys certainly has no problem forcing things and trying to go it alone.

If he’s performing at his early Arsenal-form, then he’ll be a huge pickup. If he’s in ManU form, he’ll be a disgrace.

This signing is a feast/famine roll of the dice.

In the limited time he's played due to injury with Inter Milan, he's looked pretty good. He makes too much money though. He'd have to take a massive pay decrease to stay in Italy or anywhere else for that matter in European top flight. What can he fetch now? 7m?

Not sure if anyone will find this interesting but I had to go to Gillete all day for training today. The Revs are home Saturday so everything was all prepped for soccer and everything was out for Revs Vs Fire. It's been a most of the week training and their sent our employees in waves. When my coworkers were there yesterday they were practicing on the field part of the day and filming a commercial but no such activity today.

I had my NYCFC winter hat in my jacket and considered putting it on and taking a picture flipping off one of the Revs logos but decided it would be too immature and their not really our rivals anyway save for in a generic NY vs Boston way. I was relived no one messed with my car despite having multiple NYCFC stickers and a Mets magnet on it. Guess it's not the Yankees/Giants.

It took me about 2 hours each way and that's without game day traffic. Kind of hard for me to believe there are people from my part of Connecticut who do it on a regular basis give me the train to the Bronx any day.

I'm not sure I agree with the view I'm seeing in the twitter comments, but I don't want to start a heated debate now. I'm not sure that he should be held accountable for the actions of his wife.

ETA: After doing some more digging on the situation, I have come to conclude that in my opinion, the release makes sense. Not because he should be held accountable for the actions of his wife, but for other related reasons.

What’s the skinny?

I haven’t researched but just based on some social media replies he has had history of homophobic comments
Basically this, and the general consensus from Chicago fans was that he wasn't exactly the greatest guy. I don't have any proof, but chicago fans have said that when they had their pride night, he wasn't the biggest fan. Not sure what that means exactly, but he does have a history with these sorts of things, if that's to be believed.

I'm close with some Fire fans and they mentioned that he (Katai) refused to wear the rainbow armband on LGBTQ night.

What on EARTH is going on in Atlanta? They're in full rebuild mode after seven games.

pretty good decision on their part. they profit off Pity while offloading a largely underwhelming signing after all the fanfare. Could he have a resurgence if he and Josef were to get in sync? maybe. but this is money on the table they get and a DP slot opened up. New coach can fill it with his choice and have money to do so.

That's a darn good price.
What's the transfer revenue on American players in the past couple of years? Seems to be starting to go up and up. I'll be surprised if we don't see ourselves starting to actually do well in world cups within the next decade with all these young players really breaking into big teams.

alot of the kids are going from academy straight to europe so there isint any transfer fee ( like gio). scally/ aaronson seem to be more the exception at least for now.

IIRC Jozy still has the biggest transfer fee at $10M

Oh, not talking about just just from US to europe, I'm asking about any american in general. Just what price have americans been going for? Pulisic should be the highest there right?

ah then in that case yes, and i dont think it will be matched. unless a top 4 premier league team goes after gio for example. but gio would have to be absolutely killing it in bundesliga
