i'm thinkin stuver might get the nod. otherwise, we're gonna get runover by the MLS hype machine elsewhere.

IF and big IF, we win CCL or MLS CUP, johnson might get the GK nod, but otherwise, blake probably has that locked up.

These awards are for the regular season. Ballots are already in. They will be announced in the coming week(s).

Tinnerholm should win defender of the year, and I hope Johnson gets some votes for goalie.

defender of the year is almost always a CB. though i would agree tinny should get the nod this year.

johnson has the best shot stopping % this year, i think. but philly's success puts blake over the line and his general ability to keep philly in big games.. like vs. us.

I definitely think Tinnerholm should've been a Defender of the Year finalist but I guess it's not too surprising that they went with central defenders.

I also thought Sean Johnson deserved a shout as a finalist for goalkeeper of the year, though don't think he should win it, so I guess I don't care about that all that much. But comparing him to Eloy Room, it seems like he deserved that spot more IMO.

Those don't do all the justice either as (even though he's had some real blunders), Sean's been one of the best keepers at GA when compared to xGA.

But again, I don't think he deserves keeper of the year over Turner at all, and perhaps Blake there's a bit of an argument as well, so all this posturing I'm doing just to have him named as a finalist is probably not worth it.

NYCFC has one candidate for Goal of the Year voting. It's Medina's goal against Orlando in the tournament, which honestly I forgot about.

You can vote here:

The Medina goal can be seen here if you don't want to scroll through the full GOTY video:

Narrator: He has no shot of winning.
