2020 Roster Discussion

This team man... PR is not their forte.
What do they do at work all day? There are people that work in our FO responsible for press relations and they struggle to provide the slightest details regarding players and team news. Reminds me of Office Space. What exactly would you say you do here?

social media has been radio silent since after the orlando game. aside from updating the web page with CCL stuff, it's been dead. Perhaps everyone took time off for thanksgiving ?

Would have been nice to know Ring was going in for surgery, but I'm not particularly upset either.

Same, but I think that's an unfortunate result of becoming jaded. I was a season ticket holder in year one, watched every game the next few years, now I kind of passively follow the team and check in on the forums once in a while. And when I do, I see someone just posting a tweet from a family member announcing a surgery. So what am I really following?

I'm more of an MLS fan than a NYCFC fan these days.

Must have 3 keepers on the roster. What happens is Johnson is injured in match 1 and then Barraza is injured in match 2? Do we put an outfield player starting in goal for the finals? Nope.
Yeah, exactly this. Need to roster 3 keepers just in case.

I haven't spoken to anyone about this specifically (so this is perhaps just me posturing and perhaps being a bit of a homer with a fellow MU alum), and both the GM and coach are new since he was drafted, but I've gotten the sense that the team is very high on Barraza.

I very much got that sense when we drafted him and through his first preseason. I can't say exactly why, except he got a decent amount of playing time that camp. But since then I haven't noticed it as much. But it's all just reading indirect signs.

To be fair, Stuver outclassed him. It looks like with Stuver gone Barraza will be the #2.

we couldn’t just give Eirik a call?

eirik is still trying to stop shots from the Toronto playoff game

Me reacting to this but then also remembering what it was like to go to both legs of that series

That second leg was more unpleasant of an experience than the Red Bull Wedding. At least after the touchdown there was another game during the season, even 2 more against Red Bulls. 0-5 at home vs. Toronto, staying at the stadium until the end. God help us all.

it was the first game i could convince my dad to go to with me. He’s never been to another since.
