So, in an attempt to create buzz and rejuvenate and build a fan base in a major city, the Fire appear to be offering full season tickets for just $25 per game for any section.
Would love to see us get more aggressive on pricing

I think we all know that there's no price they can set tickets at that will bring in new season ticket holders. You can grab tickets on StubHub for $10 and they still go unsold. Now If you wanted to close off more sections and create more demand that way, while also lowering prices for season ticket holders I'm fine with that. But as long as 28k seats are available on the field and main levels, lowering ticket prices ain't going to do anything to bring people back.

Agree to a point. I think a lot of STHs cancel cause of the price and knowing they can get a seat on stubhub for $10-20 for most games. But if price per ticket is $25, for example, more STHs may be encouraged to renew or re-sign up because 1) you get your seat every game 2) even if you can't make it to all games, you can trade in and upgrade to premium for food options at $25 per ticket instead of the $10 sold minus fees on stubhub. If you're going to most games anyway, it's not too bad of an option if you enjoy the same seat/section each game.

That being said - there's no way the club is going to do a flat rate STH. perhaps when we get a stadium 10 years from now and attendance is hovering at 10k.

I am one of those. I would indeed sign up at $25/ticket.

Tonight’s email says that seat relocation is coming soon in December. That would probably be a good time to announce a Citi share, and if so the procedure and any considerations that may affect seat location. Hopefully, there will be no regular season share.

i think there’s a regular season share coming. It’s the way they announced it that makes me feel that way:

“Seat Relocation Event”. What the hell is that? Normally there’s a mention of opportunity to change seats in a given window. But an “event”? Maybe it the new regime. Maybe this is what Brad sims heard we wanted in his listening tour. I don’t know. But it sure sounds like everyone’s changing seats and that means at least a few games at Citi.

Seems a little late in the process since they’ve been invoicing us each month for seats we already agreed to.

It was an event last year too.

Last year seat relocations started in late November and finished early December. So we're definitely behind this year, with no date set for it yet except "December." Assuming they don't plan to do it the last week of December when half of everyone is on vacation, I'm surprised it has not yet been announced apart from the teaser a few posts above. Half of me thinks they're waiting for the full schedule drop and the dual stadium announcement, and half thinks that waiting so long to announce such an extreme step is too ridiculous even for this club.

You’re probably right about the schedule drop. MLS would shit bricks if NYCFC announced venue dates before the schedules officially drop - and it’ll be impossible for any STH to make their final decision of keeping/dropping their tix if they don’t know which games are at each location. Also, I’d be surprised if NYCFC isn’t planning for that potential tix drop and/or smaller tix plans but they haven’t figured out how to do it since we’ve all been paying for a 34tix package since the summer. Refunds aren’t in their vocabulary.

Got a seat relocation email. Mine appointment is on Monday. But I'm not moving.

Yeah, this appears to be YS focused. Guess the big Citi Field fiesta will take place later.

I think we're just playing at YS this year, at least for MLS regular season games. Not planning to move but will look around.

I agree. Common sense says that we would've heard about a YS/CF split prior to ticket renewals. HOWEVER, this is NYCFC we're talking about, and when do they EVER do anything right the first time??

I moved a few seats down the same row in the same section to get away from a partial obstruction.
Sounds like a good deal.

Is this year's relocation event a return to form after the ridiculousness of last year? I remember last year the web page didn't show all the available seats and you had to harass your rep to see anything that didn't involve a higher price.

I was able to see same price seats (ie not just Upgrades) I didn’t check downgrades. But the interface and emails implied you needed to deal with a rep to drop seats or downgrade.

ETA: The move I made was pretty much the only one I was considering, and I doubted it would be open, but it worked out perfectly.

Anyone have an opinion or experience sitting in sections 205/206 vs 228/229?

Thinking about moving from my seats in 233B to something on the sideline.

I am in 205, and I love it. Unlike most sideline seats, you are very close to the touch line.

ETA: I was in 233A before that, and the view is much better. When I first moved over there, the atmosphere was also really good, but it's been less crowded the last year or so.
