Does your Founding Member status show up on your invoice? I have two Founding Member tickets and a third regular City Member:

2020 NYCFC City Membership- 17 Matches
Sec 234 | Row 18 | Seat 2$442.00
Quantity: 1
2020 NYCFC City Membership- 17 Matches
Sec 234 | Row 18 | Seat 3 - 4$884.00
That indicates that you're being charged the same price on all 3 seats. Without a public chart you can't even tell if you're getting the Founder price or the City Member price.

I can think of 3 reasons for refusing a chart.
  • Hyper-complicated pricing structure.
  • It's annoying for staff to field annual complaints about non-standard price increases across different sections.
  • If you have to ask about alternatives they have a better opportunity to manage you and deter downgrades or push upgrades.
I'm sympathetic about the second point but tough, that's the job. I see no benefits to fans for any of these and I'm seriously thinking about a downgrade to make a point.

I’ve downgraded as far as I can go. Maybe a drop a ticket. With my credit I hope to eventually use, it would make my 1 ticket half price.

At least your rep responds. I responded to his intro email yesterday with the issue of not being able to trade into the NJRB match. Nothing. Then replied again today regarding not getting my credit. Asked he acknowledge receipt. Still nothing. WTF?
Appears an Outlook Rule has been set up for you.

I'm annoyed. I have a credit to be applied next year because I overpaid this season when downgrading seats and it's not shown in their new billing system.
I can't believe they overcharged you in the first place. There's no decent reason for them not to adjust your monthly fee to reflect that you overpaid because 2 payments or however many were due before you downgraded. I'm pretty certain they don't handle it the same way when you upgrade.

They stopped the payments once they were alerted. Bc I was already paid in full by around start of season when I noticed it since my old seats were double the price. It was only around $140 in credit. But still nuts they never adjusted the payment schedule. I downgraded when it was renewal time last year.

Two months ago I received an email from the club offering me Legends club access as an add on for $160 per ticket per game. When I shared that on the forums I discovered everyone else was offered a cheaper price than me. Look at my post and the responses.

From this I concluded that the club uses non-transparent secret prices to try to cheat me.

no change in price again for my seats in 132 so I'm paying the same in 2020 as I was in 2018

Probably because being in the corner by the foul pole isn't very desirable - they don't even make many of the seats available for purchase due to the obstructed view

I'm flabbergasted. Last season my all in price was $841 for two tix, the 2020 invoice says $977......in what fucking world did the experience +16%? It was overpriced last year...... Only thing I can hope is its a glitch, that maybe they have the wrong pricing schedule in or some founder discount is missing...... This isn't some sort of catch up pricing damnit. The tickets have been overpriced since day 1 and for 5 years I think there has been all but 1 increase year. WTF!

Sims needed a new company car.

my prices increased 8% over last year. I don't think the experience improve by that much... unless they are just trying to cover themselves with the "flexible ticketing" that they're introducing this year and the other "benefits" we'd be getting as 2020 members.

on another note...

I have started to wonder if the fact that NYCFC is partly owned by the Yankee ownership has anything to do with how poorly the club is run. I understand that if the yankees are smart, they'd want the club to succeed as well. i am curious how other CFG clubs do in other leagues and how they treat their members, not including Man City of course.

disclaimer: i have no idea how a yankee sth holder is treated.

I would love to know their internal financials on this. It does feel like some people are paying for the folks that have dropped.

One of the guys I sit with is dropping all the way to SS. Probably saves him $2,500.
Seems like a conversation for you to initiate at this weekend’s backyard BBQ. Tell’m his burger will be bloody if he doesn’t offer up the reasons behind the pricing.

Class action lawsuit for deceptive trade practices?

I dropped last year from CAT-1 to Endline Mezzanine just to park myself in a cheap spot to save some money while I hold onto founder level for 1 more season while I await stadium news. I guess it would make sense that as other people do the same the pricing pressure is felt in those cheaper sections. Overly simplistic thinking would be like, wow they must really love these seats lets raise the prices to reflect that demand. Well, they are shooting themselves in the foot. I am not going too upgrade back to Cat-1 if it conversely drops 3%. I am only moving in one direction >>> cheaper >>> cheaper >>>> CANCEL!

The vast majority of comments I’ve read on Twitter are of unsatisfied STH seriously debating dropping their tix. It’s like a 9.5/0.5 split, with the 0.5 given simply as a statistical possibility of somebody being satisfied but not remembering reading it as such.

Next year may be very bleak regarding Season Tix sales..... a downward trend that’s been happening each and every season. This book was already published, and it was titled NY/NJ Metrostars.....
