Ive been gone from the forums for basically the entire offseason so im sorry if this was already discussed. But, i have just been informed that there will be no season ticket cards given out this year. The reason for the change was said to be because of CitiField.
Wait, so how are they going to do it?? Digital?

This strikes me as unnecessary. I don't understand why it is not feasible or worthwhile having a season card for 13 games. As has been noted, it makes STH stadium discounts harder to access, and at least for those 13 games, it's just nice to have the cards. They're become part of the rhythm of attending games.
.
Can anyone think of a reason why they think they need to do this?

It also assumes everybody has a smart phone. While most people do, I know folks that still use a flip phone; two people in my work group at the office - not that they are STH, just that there are still people off the smart phone grid.

This is a really bullshit decision.

maybe they'll have an option for hard tickets if you don't want to or cant use mobile.

We don't know for sure there won't be cards, right? How confident is your source jack?
