2021 Roster Discussion

That moment you realize we only have one more game of Maxi at home.

...and a very small chance of two if we beat NE. And an even smaller chance of three if we get to MLS Cup and one of the lower western seeds make it.
Or.... or maybe not?

This can be scary on a medical level.

As for the roster with Parks out and Geidon suspended. Ronny will have to make a decision on the midfield...

He drifts in and out of games and he’s lost a step. Some of those numbers are deceiving. Not saying he can’t be a useful player, but even on a TAM contract, it may be much. By the eye test, he struggles at times in ways he hasn’t before this season.
I appreciate what he's been for the team, but he's right about the age where production starts to decline significantly. I'm not sure why we would want a 35-year old player who relies on quickness and precision to get anything close to meaningful minutes.

I asked the good Dr. Mrs. G about Parks. She said it's not a terrible condition and he should be able to make a full recovery. She said the only possible complication would be if the doctors find a predisposition to develop clots. They might want to put him on anticoagulants, which aren't the safest thing in a contact sport.

Apparently, this is an artery that sits behind the knee.

the own goal credited as taty's goal vs cinci.
That's so silly. I highly doubt that he carefully reviewed every Kamara goal frame by frame to determine whether any were open to interpretation.

I agree. That's not a technicality, nor is winning by the tiebreaker. I don't get what that comment was referring to, including whether it was even about Castellanos.

The Cincinnati own goal was officially converted to an own goal and is not part of Taty's record if you look it up. Taty has one goal from that game which is a different goal.
I don't think that's right. Fbref has Taty at 19 goals, one from the Cincy game. Fbref also has one own goal from the Cincy game and that was off the corner where Chanot challenged the ball and it went off the defender and in.

Except Taty doesn't have any other goals in that game.
Medina, Own Goal, Gudi, Own Goal, Medina. (i like the symmetry in that, actually)

Oh geez you and M moogoo are right. I totally forgot there were (or should have been) 2 OGs in that game, so I checked to see 1 for Taty and 1 OG and thought it had been fixed. But that's the other OG. OK I'm reverting to not posting again. :)

ETA: That's still not a technicality though. An error maybe, but not a technicality. Nor is application of a tie-breaker a technicality. But there's also no better candidate for what the author was referencing so who knows?
