2021 Roster Discussion

6 years younger and twice the market value of Lucas Zelarayán before he came to Columbus.

I don't think CFG is going to be that ambitious for us.

this is who we should be going after. proven scorers in a good league. but we have had a habit of shopping in scandinavia for players lately...

This seems like a pretty big deal that has flown under the radar

Agreed. It's a huge deal. You're signing prospects, but they have the potential to be massive players for the team -- and you can bring in three of them. Have to think Santiago Rodriguez, if his signing is true, would be one of those guys -- which means we could end up signing him, two other high-priced young players AND two other DP's. Plus, theoretically, we're also signing a couple of TAM players. If the team hits on some of those young players, it's going to be pretty fun.

The question becomes, do you sign all three slots at once, or do you try to space them out. Theoretically having so many young players could hurt if they don't hit, so you might want to space it out a little. Might also be tough having so many young players in important spots on the squad when veteran experience is so important in the playoffs. My guess is smart teams will have maybe 1 or 2 of those spots filled this year, then re-evaluate next offseason to see what to do next.

Pretty sure Santiago Rodriguez to NYC is dead. Torque posted an intro video welcoming him two weeks ago.

the plan was always to go to torque until mid 2021 and then CFG decides where he goes, nycfc or girona. At least thats what Uruguay news outlets said

This is going to massively upend the league.

brenner at FC Cincy? Costs the same as Medina on theSalary cap this year.
