So that ticket rep guy called me again and then texted me and i wrote back saying I'm hesitant about going to games this season, depending on what happens on the sporting side of the picture. His reply:

Just FYI, John did some twitter sleuthing and Santiago Rodriguez seems to be on track to join after the Uruguay Apertura in June. Rodriguez himself told a radio station in January, "I have to play at Torque until June, then I'll go to the United States."

this was the plan, torque till summer. but didnt know if he would come here or go to girona ( based in uruguay reports). In terms of DP, cant he fall under the young DP spot? so technically wont fill in a regular DP spot.

Yeah, salary is capped at the max budget charge of $612,000. But unlimited transfer fee. You would hope the team was able to bring him in for that salary.
That's really bizarre. The reporting is that this was all-but done.
i read this, this morning in other tweet. Emelec seems to be ok with the $2.8M fee, but the player said no to the transfer. Emelec fans seem pissed he is staying.
