2021 Roster Discussion

I mean if you started at say 10K at 2015 then went down to like 4K by 2018 and in 2019 year of the email it went up to 5K STH he is not technically lying but compared to the start its still at a big loss. ( im making up those numbers btw i in no shape or form know what actual numbers are)

unless those flex 5 game ticket packs count as STH? Which im sure many liked.

True. his email was probably only in reference to the previous year only.

Per twitter, looks like the loan was set and ready to be made official this weekend, however im seeing now that he is more of a "plan B" for Palmeiras as they are trying to get Borre from River Plate instead.
Does he want to be here though? Gotta say this probably has to have some sort of mental effect on a player thinking they’re going somewhere and then that team backing out. Hopefully he still gives his all here

i figure any south american player wants to play for the defending libertadores champion, and they are a big team in brazil too. well see though, he still has the olympics ( if it gets played) to try and showcase and here too. if they backed out hopefully it can motivate him to do well here to get euro interest instead.

I'd see it as even more motivation to perform well to sell himself for transfers to other big clubs in the future.

So while other teams are signing impact players from South America, we're bargain bin shopping in eastern europe. Seriously, you guys are ok with this?
You’re not seeing the genius at work. What’s been our biggest complaint over the last 4-5 years? I’d say, “Disappointing playoff exits.”

The plan in place would guarantee we don’t end this season with a disappointing playoff exit.

Pure. Genius.

Nobody wants to play for Ronny Deila & David Lee

Honestly, can you blame anyone? No idea where you're going to play from week to week. The club hasn't put any serious money into the club to make them competitive. For all the kool aid drinkers who point to Mitrita's transfer fee I'd like to counter with the fact that he's not with the club anymore.

thats the thing...they haven't put in money and the team still makes the playoffs ( even if its just one game/series), and got first place in the east in 2019. so this is the formula, until it all crashes and burns and no playoff ticket is obtained. and then they will only half ass it again.

They haven't put money into the club in the last year. I mean they did spend what, $9 or $10 million on the transfer fee for Mitrita? The biggest change came last winter when the only money the spent was on the purchase of Parks.

that was one transfer with a significant fee ( i think medina was 3M?) and that seems to happen every 3 years or so. and its only one. There is no way you win like that. This team will not spend much compared to true contenders, but that is something that has been shown even before last winter. its like they said " oh we tried it once with mitri didnt work out, so now we wont do any more, only small penny pincher transfers"

and imo i dont even think this will change with a stadium in place. just based on the other CFG teams out side of man city.

You could say we tried the young South American approach with Medina a la Miguel Almiron and failed at that too.

So what's the next DP angle?
