2021 Schedule Thread

Of the 17 MLS Regular Season matches in 2021, how many will be played at Yankee Stadium?

They never lied. There was never a promise that NYCFC would be the biggest club in the world. The team has delivered on a par with the best teams in MLS since 2015. Complaints about the stadium are fair, but point totals and transfer spending has been at the MLS ceiling, not the floor.

If one wants NYCFC to bring in players at the level of a Premier League team or win the Shield and Cup every year in a capped league, then prepare for disappointment.

I never said biggest club in the world.

If we win, we play NE on 11/30 at 7:30PM at Gillette, by the way. If we win I'm thinking of going

That’s a Tuesday night. Woof. I’ve joked on here that it’s faster for me to go to Gillette on a weeknight for a game than it is to travel to RBA for a weeknight game.

Do I have to put my money where my mouth is?

If you work from home you could do what I plan (assuming we get there...) and take a train the night before, then work from an airbnb or hotel in foxborough, go from there to the game and then back home by train! Or if third rail has a bus I might take that.

I know there is a train rail right next to the stadium. My understanding is that commuter trains don't run there? Now I need to investigate.

I am 2:15 to Gillette on a good day averaging 75-80. Northern Fairfield County

Let's first beat Atlanta and then I'll decide...

The MBTA train is for Foxboro Special Events and seems to only be running for Patriots games. You can check the schedule here: https://www.mbta.com/schedules/CR-Foxboro/timetable

Third Rail may do a bus based on popularity. But that would leave sometime around 1 PM if the match is at 7 PM.

Depending on work/travel, driving up Monday night, staying at a hotel to work Tuesday, and driving back after the game or early Wednesday morning may be the best option.

It's 2:40 on Google Maps right now with a hint of traffic around Hartford. 2:15 with no stops and no traffic and averaging 75 or 80.

The Gilette website confirms - no trains for Revolution games. Ever.

I live in Westchester, and I was really surprised how quickly I can drive to Boston.

Part of the benefit is that you don't have to deal with traffic through Connecticut on I-95. It's the Merritt and then running north to Hartford and over to Boston. Not much in between.

"the City" meaning city government. New mayor, borough president, city council, etc, etc.
Ohhhhhh, well he didn't actually say "The city", he said "coming to City" which sounds like it's referring to [New York] City [FC]. That makes more sense.
